Re: Daily Devotional From Bill Keller

"He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to
receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could
buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the
number of his name. This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him
calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is
666." (Revelation 13:16-18)

06/06/06! Tomorrow is a day many people are concerned about, some even
fearful of. Why? Because it is June 6, 2006 or 06/06/06. Actually, at 6
a.m 6 minutes and 6 seconds it will be 06:06:06 on 06/06/06. I wanted to
bring this word to you today so that if you are concerned or fearful about
tomorrow, please don't be. It is simply just another day in human history.
People will be born and people will die. People will make money and people
will lose money. People will get married and people will get divorced.
People will get jobs and people will lose jobs. The point I want you to
understand today is that there is NOTHING magical about tomorrow because it
is 06/06/06!

I have always been amused at the emails I get 3-4x a year from people who
tell me that they would love to send Liveprayer a donation, but they refuse
to since our address is 6660. It always gives me a good laugh, but a the
same time I feel sorry for people who live in such fear due to their
ignorance. Let me just say this. For over 81 months now, God has blessed
this address in so many ways it would take several books to document. Every
day, literally millions of lives all over the world receive the Truth of
God's Word and find the hope and love of Jesus Christ FROM THIS ADDRESS.
Over 130,000 souls we know of will be in Heaven from the work that has come
from THIS ADDRESS. I can assure you the only one who is cursed by this
address is satan!!!

Let me be blunt with you, worrying about numbers is simply a lack of
maturity and is nothing but being superstitious. Merriam-Webster defines
superstition as: a belief or practice resulting from ignorance, fear of the
unknown, trust in magic or chance, or a false conception of causation. A
Christian isn't supposed to be superstitious because our faith is in God,
the Creator of the heavens and earth, the One who is in control of all
things at all times. Nothing happens in this world or in our lives apart
from God allowing it to happen. There are no accidents or coincidences with

Nonbelievers are superstitious because they live in ignorance of God's Word.
Because they have denied that Truth and the love of Christ in their life,
they live in fear of the unknown, they trust in magic, they believe that
things happen in this life by chance, they have to come up with wild
theories to explain why events unfold the way they do. As you can clearly
see, being superstitious is NOT something a true follower of Jesus Christ
should ever be.

The number 666 has only one meaning to a Christian, it is the mark of the
beast or the anti-Christ. Period. That is it. It has no meaning in a
street address, it has no meaning in a phone number, it has no meaning in
your grocery bill, it has no meaning on your credit card, IT HAS NO MEANING
AS A DATE, it only has meaning if someone is trying to give you this number
on your right hand or forehead during the reign of the anti-Christ.
Otherwise, the number 666, the number 6, has NO MEANING and is not something
a Christian should even think twice about.

The fact is, numerology is a satanic tool and not something Christians
should be involved with. Yes, I am well aware of the Biblical teaching
regarding numbers. 1 is the number of unity. 2 is the number of division.
3 is the number of Divine perfection. 4 is the number of creation. 5 is
the number of grace. 6 is the number of man. 7 is the number of spiritual
perfection. 8 is the number of new beginnings. 9 is the number of
judgment. 40 is the number of trials. I could go on, but let me just say
while I find the Biblical support of these numerical definitions
interesting, it is not something I have ever put much weight behind since it
ultimately leads people on that path of being superstitious.

I love you and care about you so much. Unless Jesus returns, and only God
knows when that moment will be, the sun will rise in the east and set in the
west and tomorrow will simply be another day. I remember back in November
of 1999, doing a Devotional on Y2K. Do you remember that? Poor people
being scared into buying portable toilets that didn't need water, boxes of
dehydrated food, clearing out their bank accounts and buying gold, building
survival bunkers in their homes, being told that everything computer driven
was going to crash and fail, and on and on the doomsday scenarios were being

I told the Liveprayer audience at that time, some 40-50,000 people to take a
deep breath, quit panicking, quit listening to the false prophets who were
making a ton of money selling Y2K books and tapes, and know that God is on
His throne and that everything was going to be OK. I have that same message
for you today. Chill out, relax, tomorrow is simply another day. Instead
of worrying about the date, worry about being faithful to honor God with
your life tomorrows like we are called to do each day He gives us in this
life. Rather than worrying aobut the numbers of the date tomorrow, find
ways to serve the Lord as we are supposed to do each day God blesses us

I will be praying for you. I pray that this message today has helped some
of you get over the hump of being superstitious, to mature spiritually
Superstitious is NOT something a child of God should ever be. We don't have
to trust in chance or fear the unknown because our faith and hope is in God
Almighty who sits high and looks low. So fear not my friend because our God
neither slumbers nor sleeps and He is on His throne and in control of all
things at all times. It is not the date tomorrow we need to be concerned
with, only bringing glory and honor to God with our lives on that and every
day He gives us in this life!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

This email comes from: bloody_vampiric_mistress@ "there is no

judge others for there individuality you are nothing your life is
meaningless you are nothing but a worthless peace of shi# and i hope you
die a slow and painful death you nasty bastar*"

The tragic death of James Dungy and the teen internet site MySpace. I was
already finishing a Devotional I had been working on for months on the teen
internet site MySpace.com, when the tragic news came last December that
James Dungy, the 18-year-old son of Indianapolis Colts' Head Football Coach
Tony Dungy was found dead of an apparent suicide. As the details of his
death began to emerge, it was learned that James had overdosed on
prescription medication just a few months earlier. Another critical detail
that came to light was the content of James' personal webpage on the popular
teen internet site MySpace.com. Today, I want to speak directly to young
adults about how precious this life is, and to parents about how critical it
is to know what is really in your child's heart and head.

Let me speak first to the young adults. Please, listen to what I am telling
you today. Your life is a gift from God. It is special. It is precious.
You only get one. That is why I warn you all the time about the things out
there that can damage, even destroy your one and only life. Things like
alcohol, drugs, and sex. Never forget that satan's mission is to kill,
steal, and destroy (John 10:10), and that means YOU! Satan is not some
Disney cartoon character, some loveable class clown. He is the enemy of
your soul and wants you destroyed and DEAD!

Satan masterfully uses the media to feed his lies to the masses 24/7/365
through music, TV, radio, movies, advertising, and the Internet. Never
forget that Jesus exposed him for who he really is, a LIAR (John 8:44). He
tells you the same lies he told Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. "God
really didn't mean that," God doesn't want you to have fun," "it won't hurt
you, "and on and on his lies go. He is often called the "tempter." Satan
also plays on your youth and the fact you simply don't have enough life
experiences to comprehend how dangerous some of the things you do really
are. Not ONE adult in their 40s or 50s would honestly tell you they would
make the same choices they did at 16 if they had known then what they know

Here is the bottom line. Satan is a liar and wants you DEAD. God is Truth
and wants you to LIVE. This is really simple. Satan's goal is to destroy
you and kill you. God wants to bless you and have a relationship with you
for all eternity. If you ever think of killing yourself, those thoughts are
from satan, NOT God. Satan will lie to you and tell you that you are better
off dead, that your life has no meaning, that nobody cares about you or
loves you. ALL LIES! The Truth is God wants you to have life, and life
more abundantly. The Truth is that your life has meaning and purpose. The
Truth is that there are people who care about you and love you. The Truth
is that God loves you and cares about you more than you will ever know!!!

Parents, let me speak to you for a moment. The greatest need your child has
is for you to love them and nurture them. You do that by praying for your
child every day, by raising your child in the admonition of the Lord and in
the Truth of His Word. You do that by protecting your child from the evils
of this world. You do that by providing for your child's needs. You do
that by having a RELATIONSHIP with your child, and that only happens through
open and honest communication. The greatest need I see daily in the
relationship of parents and their children is more open and honest
communication. There is no substitute for taking the time to sit down and
COMMUNICATE with your child. The younger they are when you start really
communicating with them, the better that communication is as they get older.

OK parents, now I am going to give you perhaps the greatest information I
ever will other than what is in the Bible. I assure you, unknown to 90% of
the parents reading this today is a teen internet site called MySpace (
www.myspace.com ). It is a website designed predominantly for young adults
to go and create their own custom webpage. There is a basic template that
they fill in with pictures, with information on their likes and dislikes,
with their blog ( a modern day "dear diary") that others can read and
respond to, in addition to links to their friend's MySpace pages. I assure
you that 70% of the kids between 14-20 who are on the computer have a
MySpace. Of course, there are other comparable sites, but by far MySpace is
the most popular of all in this genre of websites.

Let me make sure you understand what I am telling you. If your child has a
MySpace, you will find out more about your child, what is really going on in
their heart and head than you ever dreamed you would know. This is their
personal signature, who they are, and in many cases a side of them that you
never knew existed. By following the links to their friend's MySpace, you
will also get a keen insight into who they really are and what is in their
hearts and heads as well.

I would encourage every parent with a child between 14-20 that is on the
computer at all to ask your child if they have a MySpace or something
comparable, and that you want to read their page. Be prepared for your
child to lie that they don't have one. Be prepared that if they do, they
will probably put up a huge fight about letting you read it. Be prepared
that if you do read it, what you will find out. Based on what is on your
child's MySpace, you have the perfect opportunity to really start openly and
honestly communicating with your child, since again, what you will read is
in most cases their innermost thoughts and what is in their heart.

For privacy reasons, I chose not to reveal the MySpace page of the sad young
girl who wrote that email I shared with you at the beginning. However,
having viewed her MySpace, it was VERY chilling. Glorification of death, of
promiscuous sex, a page that reeked of satan and utter rebellion to God and
his Word. I am fairly certain that this girl's parents have never read her
MySpace, though they need to since she is very troubled and is in for a
difficult and rough life unless she turns her life around and to the Lord.
In most cases I deal with, young adults like this troubled girl don't have
anyone in their life who really cares about them and they grow up in homes
void of God and His love and Truth. They are simply looking for attention
in their rebellion. Pray for her, since she needs to come to know the love
of Jesus Christ in her heart and life.

I would be shocked if Coach Dungy or his wife had any knowledge of James'
MySpace. It was full of thug and gangster themes, glorifying smoking pot,
adulation of thug rappers like Tupac and Snoop Dogg. No doubt some of it
may have been a "front," or simply an effort to be someone he really wasn't.
Many young adults will use this type of site to portray themselves as
someone they fantasize about being. But there is still much truth to be
gained about a person from what is on these sites.

James Dungy's MySpace was disturbing enough to know that something wrong was
going on in this young man's heart and life. The scary thing is that this
is a young man who was raised by two loving, nurturing, and Godly parents.
He was afforded all of the possible blessings life could offer a young
person. He was raised in the church! Yet despite all he had going for him,
James had some serious issues going on in his life. His very last post on
his blog talked about not having "ne one to talk to."

Parents, listen to me carefully. YOU ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CHOICES
YOUR CHILD MAKES. God gave them the same free will He has given you and
each person. That is why raising your child in the admonition of the Lord,
in His Word, is so critical. So you can hopefully start shaping at a young
age those choices your child will make later in their life. James Dungy was
18, living on his own in a campus apartment. Coach Tony Dungy and his wife
are NOT responsible for his choice to take his life. It was his choice, and
his choice alone. If you had a child take their life, YOU ARE NOT
RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CHOICE YOUR CHILD MADE! You can only do your best, and
at some point, leave them to the Lord and pray for them.

I love you and care about you so much. The death of James Dungy is a sad
reminder of how busy satan is in trying to destroy the lives of our
children. It is also another reminder of how raising your children is the
greatest ministry that a mother and father will ever have in this life.
Young adults need to understand that life is not a game, it is a precious
gift from God and this one life we each have will be over sooner than we
think. The key is to fulfill our Divine purpose of serving and glorifying
God with our life and living it each day for Him. Parents need to do the
best job they can at laying a foundation of faith in their child's life, and
doing their best to openly and honestly communicate with their child.

For any young adult reading this today that has had thoughts of killing
yourself, STOP AND LISTEN TO ME. That message to kill yourself is coming
from the lips of satan who wants you dead. NOTHING IN YOUR LIFE IS WORTH
KILLING YOURSELF OVER. You are not alone! God loves you very much. If you
feel there is nobody to listen to you, email me! I am here for you. My
email address is bkeller@liveprayer.com . Everything you say is 100%
confidential. I will do my best to help you. Killing yourself is NEVER the
answer. There is always hope and God will always provide an answer. I am
praying for you.

For you parents, again I can only encourage you to do your best to instill
God's Truth in your children starting when they are in the womb. The more
you openly and honestly communicate with your child, the better your
relationship will be and your child will never feel like they have nobody to
talk to. The greatest gift you will ever give your child is YOURSELF!
Don't ever get so busy with your own life that you neglect your child. This
is a wicked, sinful, and evil world that we live in. Your child needs you
to help guide them and protect them from the traps satan has layed to
destroy, even kill them. I am praying for you as God gives you His wisdom
and strength each day in raising your children.

In His love and service,.
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

Re: Daily Devotional From Bill Keller

The Biblical case for war. As we have been engaged in war against those who
would love to destroy our nation, the debate continues as to whether war is
a proper response. The proponents of "peace without war" use the Bible as
their key defense of their position, even though many in the "peace without
war" movement are avowed atheists and find the Bible to be little more than
a book of stories. Interestingly, these same people run to God's Word to
defend their views.

However, many Christians also adopt this view of "peace without war". I
realize that this is a very divisive issue, and my goal is never to divide,
but unite the Body of Christ. However, I cannot shy away from the tough
issues, and ultimately we all must find peace on each issue, not in our own
thoughts and ideas, but from the Word of God. That MUST be our final
authority in ALL matters. Please pray as you read these words today.

To properly discuss war from a Biblical perspective, we have to understand
the theological context from which war exists. God created man in
perfection. Man was perfect, never to die. The creation God made for man
to exist in was perfect. However, man's sin changed all of that. We have
to understand that war is a byproduct of man's sin. God did not create war.
God does not approve of war. God even prevented David, a man after His own
heart, not to finish the Temple because he was a man of war.

War stems from man's sin and became part of the human condition from the
very beginning. Because of man's sin, because of the sin that is in every
part of our world, until God brings this world as we know it to an end, war
will ALWAYS be part of the human experience. THERE WILL BE NO PEACE UNTIL

We are then faced with this situation. War is a result of man's sinfulness.
It will be part of this world until Christ returns and God brings this world
as we know it to a conclusion. The question becomes, what is the proper
response of a Christian to war. We all know that one of the 10 Commandments
is "thou shalt not murder". War involves killing. On the surface, the
issue seems to be pretty simple. As Christians, we should not be involved
in war since it involves killing. However, God Himself, ordered His
children to war and specifically ordered them to kill on many occasions.
This seems to be a gross contradiction. No matter what anyone leads you to
believe, the Bible does NOT contradict itself...EVER!!

The 10 Commandments were given to people, to individuals. In every case
where God ordered His people to war, it was against an enemy who had no
desire for peace, had no desire to settle their disputes amicably, and
actually had the goal of destroying God's people from the face of the earth.
War became a defensive measure against the destruction of God's people.
There are many examples I can use, but does anyone think Adolph Hitler would
have been stopped had it not been for the military effort that defeated his

When studying the Bible, context is critical. When studying the Bible,
taking the whole counsel of God into consideration is vital to properly
understand it. That is why I share often that you have to read the entire
book so you get a feel, an understanding for the nature of God. There is no
doubt God is a God of peace. Peace was the perfection into which we were
created. However, God is also a God of judgment, and often, God uses His
people as instruments of His judgment.

We can never know completely the mind of God, or fully comprehend His plans,
but it is clear in reading the Bible God often used His people in acts of
war to preserve them from destruction. He also used His people to exercise
judgment on those who were the enemies of God, and further His plan that all
who would believe might know the gift of everlasting life through their
faith in Him.

That brings us to today and our current situation. As Christians, how
should we respond to the fact our nation is involved in war, which includes
the killing of innocent men, women, and children. This of course, is the
key argument of those who say we should not be involved in war, since
innocent people will die. It is impossible to understand this issue without
accepting God and His plan. It is impossible without accepting the Bible as
God's inspired, inerrant Word. You must realize that life is everlasting.

This time here on this earth is but for a brief few years. In light of
eternity, whether we live 1 day, 1 year, 10 years, 20 years, 50 years, or
100 years, really makes little difference. Our purpose is NOT to see how
long we can live, but find our faith in Christ and fulfill our God-given
purpose to serve and glorify Him with whatever time we do have. The fact is,
we all will die. Some through natural causes in old age. Some by disease.
Some by accidents. Some through war. Regardless of how, we ALL will die
one day. Which is why I try to remind you often, tomorrow is promised to
nobody. We must treat each day like the gift from God it is. That is why
the Bible says "today is the day of salvation". You may not have the chance
to repent and come to know Christ tomorrow.

It is very sad that people are dying from this conflict we are in. But the
fact is, over 3,000 innocent people died on U.S. soil on September 11th.
The fact is, people in this world die each day because of wars between
nations and people who disagree with each other on a wide array of issues.
That is why we must all do our part each day to share the love and hope we
have in Christ so that people worldwide have the opportunity to accept Him
by faith so their eternal home with God is insured.

My personal belief through the study of the Scriptures is that God hates
war, but allows it much like He allows other evils born out of the sin in
our world. Romans 8:28 tells us that "..in all things God works for the
good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose."
Does God enjoy the evils that exist in this world due to sin? NO!!! Never
forget that God is ALWAYS on His throne and always in control. Nothing
happens that God does not allow. He can take the evil of man, and use it to
fulfill His plan and purpose.

Also, don't forget that while we look at events in relation to time, God is
not bound by time and the events of this world are but a blip in eternity to
Him. One day, very soon, God will step in and bring to a conclusion this
world as we know it. In the meantime, because of sin, there will always be
evil and the byproducts of evil. However, God will always use events, even
horrible events to further His plan and purpose for man to know Him by

***We as a nation have every right, and even responsibility to defend
ourselves from those who would destroy us. Much like the children of Israel
had a right and responsibility to defend themselves from those nations that
would try to destroy them, there are evil forces in this world who would
love to see the United States cease to exist. Thankfully, our forefathers
understood this and defended our country to their death so that we could
enjoy the great freedom and liberty we enjoy today. It is now our turn to
defend this nation from its enemies to insure that our children have the
same freedoms should the Lord tarry in His return.

God has used our nation in a great way in the fulfillment of His plans and
purpose. Should we continue to honor Him, and glorify Him as a nation, I
have no doubt that we will continue to be part of His plan. That is why I
am sure God will be with this nation in this war on terror, since we are
simply defending ourselves from people in the world who would see us
destroyed. *People who have no desire for peace!

I love you and care about you very much. I realize out of the over
2,000,000+ who get this Devotional worldwide, many will disagree with what I
have said today. All I can do is implore you to dig into the Scriptures.
Read throughout the Old Testament those passages that involve wars. Be
careful in many of the passages both in the Old and New Testaments, to
insure the context of the passage is referring to individuals or to nations.
There are many places God is speaking directly to nations, and others, where
He is clearly speaking to individuals. I know that there will continue to
be division on this issue.

The fact is, no matter how you feel, war is with us until God decides to
bring things to an end. There will be no real peace, until the Prince of
Peace returns. As a nation, we must defend ourselves from those who would
destroy us. But in so doing, we must insure
that we remain a nation that honors and serves the God of Abraham, Isaac,
and Jacob. As individuals, we must get serious not only about cleaning up
our own lives, but doing so in order God can use us to minister to the lost
and hurting. I believe deep down time is very short. We must take
advantage of whatever time is left do be about our Father's business.

May God continue to richly bless the United States, and all the nations of
the world that honor Him. May God bless and instill wisdom in our leaders.
May God bless and protect the men and women of the armed services from all
the nations who support us in this action to rid the world of terrorism.
May God bless those people who will be caught in the middle of this
conflict, and may they find peace as they look to Him for comfort. Lastly,
may God pour out His love to those who have turned their hearts against Him,
that they may know His love and by faith receive the gift of everlasting
life through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

In his love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

Re: Daily Devotional From Bill Keller

Men have failed to be the leaders God has called them to be. I have no
doubt that this will be one of the more unpopular Devotionals I have ever
written, but it is a message that is long overdue. I am always amused at
the feminists and liberal theologians that state the Bible is anti-woman and
that Paul was a male chauvinist. Nobody who understands God's Word would
make such a foolish claim since nothing could be further from the truth.

The Bible is very much PRO woman and clearly teaches that God made men and
women 100% equal with separate roles to play. Paul, in teaching equality
between men and women, was a pioneer for women's rights in a day when women
were viewed as little more than property. One of the roles God has called
men to play is that of a leader, a role many men have failed to live up to.

Out of the rebellion in the 60's came the women's movement. Satan is a
liar, and the lie he told to women was that they needed to be equal with
men. But if you read and study God's Word, the TRUTH, you realize that
according to God a woman is already equal to a man. Men and women are 100%
equal, they simply have different roles to play. Sadly, women bought this
lie and for what little strides there may have been in regard to women
getting a few more dollars for their work, the long term consequences have
been disastrous for women, men, children, and to society as a whole.

Two generations later the results are men and women living totally outside
of the roles God intended for them to have, neither really being sure any
longer what those roles even are. Let me be so bold to say that we now have
the largest percentage of 2 generations of men who are spineless, gutless,
confused, and lost. They fail to lead in their marriage. They fail to lead
in their homes. They fail to lead in their careers. They are not the
leaders God has called them to be, simply followers. Worst of all, they are
not the priests of their homes, having failed in this most important role
God has called them to play.

To fill the void left by men failing to perform their God-ordained roles,
women have had to take on roles God never intended them to have. One of
those roles is a woman working outside of the home to provide for the
family. The lie of the world is that women have to go out and work. The
sad reality in the year 2006 is that many men expect their wives to work and
earn a certain amount of money. Let me break this down for you men, YOU,

This is not demeaning women or their abilities in any way. It is not a
matter of if a woman can do the same job as a man, but the fact God never
intended for them to do the same job as a man! God gave a woman the most
important job of all and that is raising your children in the admonition of
the Lord. No matter what else you may do in your life, that is the number
one job and ministry a woman will ever have!!!

Listen, I am well aware of the argument that both spouses have to work. The
reality is, economics have not changed since the days not that long ago when
most women did not work. It is our desires for the things of this world
that have changed. God's plan is for men to work and support their family
and women to raise the children with the help and support of their husbands.

If you don't have children, there is nothing wrong with working, but the
husband is still supposed to be the primary source of support in the home.
Obviously, single moms, single women, those whose husbands are unable to
work, are in special situations where you have no other choice but to work.
Know that God will give you the favor, strength, and ability to provide for
your family.

Women, let me give you a quick word of counsel. This is why I share so
often that marriage is not something to enter into lightly. Please don't
rush into marriage! It is a lifetime commitment. Heed God's warning about
being unequally yoked. Take the time to build a spiritual foundation
together. Make sure that the man you are praying about spending the rest of
your life with, is a man of God who is following God's Word and willing to
perform the roles God has called him to play. Like I say so often, our way
doesn't work and only brings consequences, God's way works and brings

Also, QUIT LIVING WITH THESE GUYS! I don't care if he is the father of your
children! You can't expect God to bless sin! Let me ask you a question.
Why should a man make the lifetime commitment to marry you, when you are
already living together? If you have sinned and have had sex outside of
marriage and have a child or children, that is still no excuse to compound
your sin by living together outside of the bonds of marriage. Remember
this, a man following the Lord, living for the Lord, is NOT going to lead
you into sin by living with you. A man who does is NOT a man you want to
commit the rest of your life to!

***NOTE TO THE MEN: Two issues I want to address. One is men who beat
women, the other is men being responsible for the children they father.
There is NO EXCUSE for a man to EVER hit a woman. I don't care if she is
hitting you, run away! It is the ultimate act of cowardice for a man to
strike a woman, and any man who does that needs professional and spiritual
help. Also, if you were man enough to father a child, be man enough to be
responsible for your child. That means financially, emotionally, and
spiritually. I am well aware of the various legal issues that may prevent
some men from being as involved in their children's lives as they should be
or want to be. However, what I am referring to is men who have children, in
and out of marriage, and then move on in their life acting like their
children don't exist. God is going to hold you accountable for the children
you fathered!

The encouraging thing is everyday I get prayer requests from husbands and
wives who are restructuring their lives and finances so that the wife can
stay at home with the children. There has been a big move in this direction
the past few years as women are going back to their natural, God-given roles
of being a mother and wife above everything else. This is also forcing men
to perform their God-given role as the provider for their family. For you
parents out there praying about doing this, let me encourage you that God
will give you the wisdom and favor to restructure your lives and finances so
that you can stay home with your children. God will always honor us and
help us to follow His plan for our lives.

I love you and care about you so much. I am praying today, especially for
the men out there that this will be a wake-up call that God has called you
to be a leader. You do not have the option of passing on this role God has
called you to play if you want to be the man He has raised you up to be.
God has called you to protect and provide for your family. God has called
you to be the priest of your home and be the spiritual leader of your wife
and children. I pray today that you will take these roles seriously and ask
God to help you fulfill them to the best of your ability.

The biggest problem we have in our world today is the breakdown of the
family. It is God's foundation for society. When the family works, society
works. When the family breaks down, society breaks down. We can see
clearly that the breakdown of our culture in 2006 can be directly tied to
the breakdown of the family. There are many factors that have caused this,
but first and foremost it is a spiritual issue and the blame has to start
with men for failing to be the leaders God has called them to be.

There is a great hymn of the faith, "Rise Up O Men Of God." Let me leave
you today with the last verse of that hymn and let it be YOUR song for today
and tomorrow!

"Lift high the cross of Christ! Tread where His feet have trod. As
brothers of the Son of Man, Rise up, O men of God!"

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

Re: Daily Devotional From Bill Keller

Living in victory or defeat , it is up to you!!! I want to give you a
word of encouragement today that you don't have to live in defeat, but YOU
CAN LIVE IN VICTORY! Even more important, you have 100% control over
whether you live in victory or defeat! That is right. YOU, and nobody else
holds the key to whether you live in victory or defeat. This is a powerful,
life-changing word today so please open your heart and receive what God is
saying to you. You don't need to go hear the latest motivational guru of
the day, or buy the latest books and tapes on being successful, just open
your heart and receive this powerful Truth that living in victory is up to
you and nobody else!

I know that many of you reading these words today are in a major crisis in
your life. You are facing what seems to be insurmountable odds in your
finances, in your health, in your marriage, on your job, with your children,
in battling an addiction, or whatever your situation may be today. As you
face these very real struggles, you see nothing but defeat. Of course,
nobody wants to live in defeat, everyone wants to live in victory. That is
only common sense. But you have done and are doing everything you can to
turn things around. However, your finances are no better, your marriage is
no better, your health is no better, your job is still a nightmare, your
children are still living in rebellion to God, you are still in some form of
bondage, you are not seeing any hope in whatever your battle may be. So you
have every right to question me when I state that living in defeat or
victory is up to you.

Here is the key to help you. Living in victory has nothing to do with the
day-to-day circumstances and challenges we face in our life. I know most of
you didn't get that one, so let me say it again. Listen carefully. Living
in victory has NOTHING to do with the day-to-day circumstances and
challenges we face in our life. This is heavy so follow me. The fact is,
you will ALWAYS have trials and tribulations, challenges and battles to
fight throughout your entire life. That is simply part of living in this
sin-filled and evil world we do. NOBODY is immune from the trials and
tribulations of life. NOBODY. It is part of EVERYONE'S life. You can
still live in victory regardless of what your circumstances may be. You can
still live in victory regardless of what you are facing in your life today.

Choosing to live in victory is the choice you make when you choose to follow
Jesus! Jesus won the victory on the cross 2000 years ago, and those who
choose to put their faith and trust in Him, invite Christ into their heart
and life by faith, live in His victory no matter what may be going on in
their lives. Remember that great old hymn, "Victory in Jesus?" It is true.
You see when you know Jesus, you understand that in this life you will have
trials and tribulations, that you will have tests along the way. But
because you know Jesus you have already won the victory. This world is not
your home, just a few short years of an eternal existence with Christ. No
matter what you may have to face and deal with in this life, it is but for a
season since your eternal home in Heaven is secure and waiting for you.

The problems of this life are nothing but hurdles. You can either let them
stop you, paralyze you, rob you of your peace and joy and abundance, or you
can find a way to get over them. There is no hurdle in your life today that
the Lord won't help you overcome. If your hurdle is finances, Jesus will
help you overcome it. If your hurdle is a marital problem, Jesus will help
you overcome it. If your hurdle is a health issue, Jesus will help you
overcome it. If your hurdle is a problem at work, Jesus will help you
overcome it. If your hurdle is a problem with your children, Jesus will
help you overcome it. If your hurdle is an addiction of some sort, Jesus
will help you overcome it. No matter what your hurdle may be, JESUS WILL

That does not mean you will never have financial problems, or health issues,
or problems in your marriage, or an issue with your employment, or problems
with your children, or battle some sort of addiction, or face a whole host
of other problems. Just hours before going to the cross, Jesus told His
disciples that in this world they would have trials and tribulations. He
told them that so they wouldn't be fooled into thinking that just because
they had chosen to follow Him they would live without any problems. That is
impossible since we are living in a fallen world that for the most part
operates in rebellion to God and His Truth. But Jesus encouraged them by
saying, "Be of good cheer for I have overcome this world!"

That is why today I can say to you, living in victory or defeat is up to
you. You can choose to live a life of defeat by rejecting Jesus Christ and
not only deal with the problems of this life, but live without the hope of
tomorrow. Your defeat is NOT in the problems of this life but in the fact
that when you die, you will live for all eternity apart from God your
Creator. By choosing to accept Christ as your Savior, you have a new
strength to face life's problems, to overcome life's problems, but most
important the hope of tomorrow in knowing that when your brief journey is
complete you will spend all eternity with God your Creator!!!

I love you and care about you so much. Living in victory has nothing to do
with the circumstances you are facing in your life today. There will always
be problems to deal with, always be hurdles. If you think back 10 years
ago, you had problems in your life. It was God who saw you through those
problems. If you think back 5 years ago, you had problems in your life. It
was God who saw you through those problems. If you think back 6 months ago,
you had problems in your life. It was God who saw you through those
problems. The fact is, there will always be problems living in this
sin-filled world that we do, but God is there to help you and see you
through whatever those problems may be!

Living a life of defeat or victory has nothing to do with the day-to-day
trials of life, but it has to do with your relationship with Jesus Christ!
You can choose to live a life of defeat by rejecting Him, or live a life of
victory by accepting Him into your heart and life by faith. I will be
praying for you today as you make the choice to live a life of VICTORY!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

Re: Daily Devotional From Bill Keller

It is OK to mock Jesus. The "Insurgent" is the student newspaper on the
University of Oregon campus, and in a recent edition this paper ran two
cartoons of Jesus. In one, He was hanging on the cross naked with an
erection. In the other, Jesus is shown kissing another man and they both
have erections. One of pop music's biggest stars is Madonna. She is
currently on her worldwide "Confessions" tour, and at one point sings while
hanging on a huge mirrored cross in a mock crucifixion complete with a crown
of thorns. One of the biggest movies of the year was "The DaVinci
Code," a movie that denies the deity of Christ, reduces our Lord to a con
man, while calling the Christian faith a lie. My friend, in Nov. of 2006 it
is perfectly acceptable and even applauded to mock, demean, and debase the
Lord Jesus Christ!

I wonder what would happen if that same newspaper ran similar cartoons of
civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King? Can you imagine the uproar
there would be? Or what if they ran cartoons depicting Mohammed as a
homosexual? Those responsible would be in fear for their very lives. Or
what about if they ran cartoons that mocked and demeaned people who choose
to commit the sin of homosexuality. There would be marches and protests by
every pro-homosexual group that exists. The fact is, nobody would dare to
publish these types of disgusting representations of ANYONE other than Jesus
or Christians, since the public outcry would be deafening. People would be
fired, students expelled, and millions would be spent to appease those who
were offended.

Let there be no mistake, mocking Jesus is not a new phenomenon. There were
people who lived at the same time as our Lord who rejected Him, just like
there are people who reject Him today. We know from the Bible that in the
fulfillment of Scripture He was mocked and scorned in the last hours of his
life. So many of the supposed "lost books of the Bible" and these new
"gospels" are nothing more than the anti-Christian writings of men who
rejected the message of Christ and who He is. Those anti-Christian writings
have always existed throughout the last 2000 years, right up to today with
the modern day heretics like Dan Brown, the author of "The DaVinci Code" and
Michael Baigent , who wrote the equally blasphemous "Jesus Papers." People
have mocked our Lord since the days He walked this earth.

What is new is the bold and fearless public attacks on our Lord throughout
the world today. I have told you often that the United States is no longer
a Christian nation. A classic example of that fact is the way those who
hate Jesus publicly mock Him. Just 10 years ago, no legitimate newspaper,
even those on major college campuses which tend to be more liberal and
radical, would have EVER had the audacity to publish cartoons depicting
Jesus in the way the University of Oregon paper recently did. Ten years
ago, a blasphemous book like "The DaVinci Code" would have never sold tens
of millions of copies like it has today. While Madonna has made a career of
mocking Christ and His church, even she has taken her blasphemy to a new
level by mocking the crucifixion.

I have done many Devotionals over these past 7 years on the boldness of
satan versus the timidity of Christians. Do you believe me now?

The natural question of course is what do we do about it? First, you can't
blame those who put out these disgusting and blasphemous representations of
Jesus. Oh, don't get me wrong, God WILL hold them accountable, but these
are people who have clearly rejected God, His Truth, and Jesus, so what do
you expect? They have given themselves over as instruments of
unrighteousness so they are actually only doing what comes naturally to
them. How can you really blame those who hate and reject the Lord from
expressing that rejection and hatred? Hear me carefully. They are not the

Maybe now you can understand why I hammer relentlessly on how Christians
have abandoned the marketplace for the comfort, safety, and oh yes, the
profitability of this Christian subculture we have created for ourselves.
In reality, we are in rebellion to God since the Bible doesn't say separate
yourselves from the world, it actually COMMANDS us to do the exact opposite!
What we are seeing with the open and public mocking of Jesus is one of the
results of our abandoning the culture of our day and leaving it to the
devil. He operates virtually without any opposition so why are we surprised
that he has taken his hatred and scorn for Jesus to the extremes we witness
today? Let me warn you my friend, it is only going to get worse!

The answer to this blaspheming of our Lord is to get back into the
marketplace and start taking a stand for Christ. Each follower of the Lord
can do their part each day where you live, where you go to school or work,
where you shop, in the recreational activities you are involved in, and with
the people God brings across your path. You take your stand by living a
Godly and holy life. You take your stand by not being afraid to speak up
for our Lord when you are around people who are speaking against Him. You
take your stand by finding ways to serve Him You can't stop the mockers,
but you can make sure their message of hatred for our Lord does not go

I love you and care about you so much. For anyone who loves Jesus, it has
to break your heart to see how our Lord and Savior is portrayed by those who
hate Him. I have no doubt Jesus is looking down and saying "Father forgive
them, for they know not what they do." The reality is, those who were
responsible for creating and publishing those horrible cartoons in the
University of Oregon student newspaper, Madonna, Dan Brown, as well as Tom
Hanks, Ron Howard and all those involved in the "DaVinci Code" movie will
die one day. At that moment they will be standing before God their Creator
to be judged. If they die rejecting the Lord, the Bible says they will be
cast into everlasting darkness.

I believe the last thing they will see, the picture that will be with them
as they suffer for all eternity, will be that of King Jesus, the One they
openly mocked and scorned!!! Pray for these lost souls. Without the Lord
in their heart, they have allowed their lives to be used as agents of satan.
Don't forget that there was a man named Saul of Tarsus who persecuted the
early church, killed Christians, yet that same Saul was visited by Jesus one
day and his life gloriously transformed. He became Paul and went on to live
one of the greatest Christian lives ever documented.

I pray that this will be a wake-up call for all Believers today. A wake-up
call that we have got to get back into the marketplace where we live each
day and boldly, without shame or compromise proclaim our faith in Christ.
If this doesn't motivate you, nothing will. For too long, we have been
intimidated into keeping our mouths shut while those who live in rebellion
to God speak loud and bold without fear or conscience to promote their
ungodly lives and choices.

Maybe this will give you some insight into my drive and passion for what we
do each day here at Liveprayer. Our number one goal is to bring the lost to
the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Getting people saved is the ultimate
answer. In addition to proclaiming the Gospel to the lost and bringing the
hope of Christ to the hurting, I am here to bring Biblical Truth back into
the marketplace. I can't stop newspapers from publishing disgusting
representations of Jesus, I can't stop pop stars like Madonna from mocking
the crucifixion, I can't stop people like Dan Brown from writing
anti-Christian books, but I can go out into that VERY SAME marketplace and
reach those VERY SAME people with the fact that their only hope and their
only answer is faith in Jesus Christ!

Those who hate our Lord are bold and courageous in taking their message of
hate to the masses. I challenge you today that if you love Jesus, you
should be even bolder and more courageous in taking the message of His love
to those same masses! While the world mocks our Lord, we have got to praise

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

Re: Daily Devotional From Bill Keller

Every year at this time, I get inundated with emails that read like 40-page
doctrinal dissertations on why a Christian should NOT celebrate Christmas.
They make very good arguments about the pagan celebrations at this time of
year, the evils of the Christmas tree, lying to children about Santa Claus,
how Jesus was not born on December 25th, and many other reasons why a
Christian should not celebrate Christmas. To those people I have only one
thing to say . . . BAH HUMBUG!

Please, don't send me emails why those who celebrate Christmas are following
the devil. If you are led to not celebrate the birth of our Lord and want to
miss out, that is up to you. Sadly, your misguided legalism has stolen your

Listen, everyone understands that Jesus was not born on December 25, but
according to most scholars, He was born sometime in September. I have yet to
meet anyone who worshiped their Christmas tree; only decorated it. If you
are old enough to be able to read this, then you are old enough to know that
there is no Santa Claus and, yes, there are many pagan celebrations that
occur at this time of the year and the Bible does not have the word
Christmas in it. However, there is only ONE REASON that we celebrate
Christmas and that is to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus

Christians SHOULD celebrate the birth of Jesus! It is right and good that we
take time each year to remember that blessed event. It was foretold by the
prophets of old. It is a well-documented, historical event chronicled in the
Gospels and supported by the historians of that day. After His death and
resurrection, it is easily the GREATEST EVENT IN HUMAN HISTORY!

Think about it. God Himself, the Creator of the heavens and earth, came to
this earth as a mere man to live with His creation. He came as a baby, born
of a virgin in a humble manger in an obscure little town. He would grow up
to die on a cross as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all mankind.
Three days after His death, God would raise Him from the dead as a sign to
this lost and unbelieving world that He was exactly who He claimed to be . .
. the SON OF GOD! His life would literally transform the lives of every man,
woman, and child for the rest of human history!!! THAT is why we celebrate
Christmas. THAT is why, as Christians, we SHOULD celebrate Christmas!!!

I love you and care about you so much. I realize that people who say not to
celebrate Christmas mean well and are trying to live their lives in a way
pleasing and acceptable to God. Sadly, they are missing the great joy of
this time of year. I know they are well intentioned and many of the things
they point out about Christmas are true but they have missed the point of
Christmas. Christmas is about only one thing, celebrating the birth of
Jesus. It is one of those times of the year that we gather with family and
friends and share our faith in Christ. That alone is a great reason we
should be celebrating Christmas.

Christmas is also VERY BIBLICAL. Luke Chapter 2 gives us the account of His
birth. That was the very first Christmas. Of course, Mary was there, as was
Joseph. We also read about several shepherds that God spoke to who were part
of that first Christmas. Now, some 2,000 years later, we will set aside time
in the coming days to do what they did at that first Christmas . . . to
celebrate the birth of Jesus!

I pray today that you will never forget what Christmas is really about and
why we celebrate this holiday. Of course, anything that the world gets
involved with becomes perverted. The world has taken this sacred time of the
year and turned it into a time of commerce. We must never allow ourselves to
get so caught up in the parties, the gifts, the food, and all of the other
things associated with the Christmas season to forget what it is about . . .
.a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus. THAT is what Christmas is really
about and THAT is why, as Christians, we SHOULD celebrate this wonderful

Daily Devotional Sunday January 14, 2007

(Isaiah 59:2, Matthew 26:28, Ephesians 1:7, 1 John 1:9

A message for those who feel they have sinned too much for God to ever
forgive them. One of the emails I get every day is from people who tell me
they have simply sinned too much for God to ever forgive them. Some tell me
that they have done things so bad in their life, God could never, ever
forgive them. I want you to hear me clearly today. There is nothing, NO
THING that you have ever done that God can't and won't forgive you for. The
Bible tells us that if you will humble yourself before the Lord and ask Him
to forgive you, HE WILL!!!

It is important for you to understand what sin is. Sin by its very
definition is rebellion against God. It is your sins that separate you from
a Holy God. There are no categories of sin, no such thing as "good sins"
and "bad sins." There is a bright line and you are either on one side of
that line, in obedience to God and His Word, or you are on the other side of
that line, in rebellion to God and His Word. That is why one sin is no
better or worse than another sin, since ALL sin is rebellion against God.

The Bible in Matthew 12:31 and 32 talks about the "unpardonable sin." My
friend, there is only one unpardonable sin and that is rejecting Jesus
Christ. The only sin that you can commit that there is no forgiveness for
is rejecting Christ. You see, God's desire is NOT to see men perish for all
eternity. Quite the opposite. The Bible tells us that His desire is that
ALL come to repentance and none be lost. God doesn't send men to hell, men
choose to go to hell by rejecting Christ as their Savior. Hell was not
created for man but for satan and the fallen angels who followed him. You
can only get to hell by CHOOSING to go there.

God loved this world so much, He made a way for His fallen creation to be
redeemed. That is the reason He sent Christ to this earth, to die for the
sins of the world. To die for your sins and mine. You have to understand
that the reason God will forgive you for your sins if you ask Him to, is
because Jesus already paid for them. Your sins, no matter what they are,
can be forgiven because Christ hung on that cross and shed His precious
blood as payment for them. That is why there is nothing you have ever done,
no sin you have ever committed, that God won't forgive you for. THE PRICE

I love you and care about you so much. I know many of you are living today
with the guilt and shame of what you have done in your life. You have
chosen to listen to the lies of satan as he tells you that you are not
worthy of God's love and forgiveness. You have chosen to listen to his lies
as he tells you that what you have done is even too much for God to forgive
you for. I want you to know that satan is a LIAR! The TRUTH is that God
loves you, He cares about you, and has made a way for you to find
forgiveness and have your sins washed away. All you have to do is ask Him
to forgive you.

Believing in Jesus is the only way to be saved because it was Jesus who died
for your sins. There is no other way to be saved, no other road to God,
there is no other plan of salvation!!! This is God's one and only plan to
reconcile His fallen creation back to Himself. This is the only way that
you can escape eternity apart from the God who created you in His own image.
It is through His grace and by your faith in Jesus Christ who died so that
your sins could be forgiven.

The most important decision you will make in this life is not who you will
marry, or where you will live, or what kind of job you will have. The most
important decision you will make in this life is to accept Jesus Christ as
your personal Lord and Savior. If you have not done that yet, the Bible
says that TODAY is the day of salvation. I would invite you to go to,
www.liveprayer.com/bdy_salvatn.html . Pray to ask God to open your heart,
read the words, pray the prayer, and accept God's gift to you today, the
forgiveness of your sins and everlasting life through His son Jesus.

For those of you who already know Christ as your Savior, I would encourage
you to forward this message to someone who you know who is lost and without
Christ in their life. Maybe they feel, like many others, that they have
simply done too many bad things in their life and God could never forgive
them. I pray that these words will open their heart to His love for them,
and they will ask Him to forgive them of their sins and accept by faith
Jesus Christ into their heart and life.

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

Re: Daily Devotional From Bill Keller

Is it proper to baptize your baby? This is a question that I get every day
so today I want to address this issue of infant baptism, and deal with
baptism in general since there is some erroneous teaching on this wonderful
experience every follower of Christ should enjoy in their life. Like many
people, I was "baptized" as a baby in the church I grew up in. Even though
I was saved in 1970, rededicated my life to the Lord in 1990, it wasn't
until Good Friday 1994 that I was actually baptized.

A dear man, Dave Scott, who became my spiritual father in 1992 and went home
to be with the Lord last year, donned a wet suit on that chilly
Chicago morning in 1994. I was in just a pair of shorts as we waded out
into the freezing waters of Lake Michigan off of Oak Street Beach. After we
prayed, I went under the icy water and moments later came up, symbolizing
the washing away of my sins and identifying my life with the life of Jesus.
It was a special moment for me and one that I will never forget as long as I

So let's get back to the initial question, is it proper to baptize your
baby? The answer is NO! There is NOTHING Biblical about baptizing a baby.
Baptism is the act of someone who has accepted Christ by faith, identifying
their life with the life of Christ in this symbolic act. It is the act of a
person who has made the choice to accept Christ into their heart and life by
faith, and is symbolic of going into the water a sinner, and coming out of
the water washed clean by the blood of Jesus. Subsequently, since a baby is
not yet at a place in their life to make the choice to accept or reject
Christ, baptizing a baby is a meaningless act.

Please understand this important fact. BAPTISM DOES NOT SAVE YOU! You
can't save your baby by having your baby baptized. Each person matures at a
different pace, but at some point, every person with a sound mind reaches
the place in their life where they are accountable for their decision to
accept or reject Christ. A baby is clearly not able to mentally comprehend
they are a sinner and make the conscious choice to accept or reject Christ
in their life. The fact is God will hold each person accountable for the
light they have had in their life, so if a baby dies they are without
question forever with the Lord for all eternity.

What IS PROPER, is to dedicate your baby to the Lord. That is Biblical. We
have the great example in 1 Samuel of Hannah dedicating her baby Samuel to
the Lord. Every parent should have a time of dedication as they present
their baby to God and dedicate that child's life to the Lord's service. As
I have spoken often recently about parenting and a parent's greatest
ministry being to their children, this is part of that responsibility as you
offer up your child to God and ask for God's blessings on your child's life.

Let me quickly address the erroneous teachings of a few churches on the
issue of baptism. The Church of Christ denomination and some other churches
hold to the false teaching that you have to be baptized in order to be
saved. This is NOT true and it is NOT Scriptural. Ephesians 2:8 and 9
clearly tell us that we are saved by 1) faith in Jesus Christ, and 2) God's
grace. PERIOD! Nothing else. No amount of good works can save you, no
additional acts are required. Salvation is a supernatural spiritual
experience that transforms the eternal soul of a person from being separated
from God their Creator due to their sin, to being forever connected with God
their Creator because their sins have been forgiven by their faith in
Christ. Baptism is a physical act. THERE ARE NO PHYSICAL ACTS REQUIRED TO

*Please do me a favor. I am NOT going to engage anyone in an email debate
over this issue. If you are part of the Church of Christ denomination or
another church that teaches the unbiblical doctrine of Baptismal
Regeneration, you are free to believe whatever you want. I am well aware of
the arguments those who hold to this erroneous teaching make to try and
support their position. But a careful and complete study of the WHOLE
counsel of God clearly teaches that baptism is NOT part of the salvation
process, but simply an act of obedience AFTER a person is saved.

So why should a person even bother getting baptized if it isn't necessary
for their salvation? Someone who has committed their heart and life to
Christ by faith will have a deep desire to follow the life of Jesus, to
identify with His life. Baptism is a public act of identification with
Christ. It is the symbolic act of the washing away of our sins. It is a
way for a follower of Christ to proclaim their allegiance to Him thru a
physical act. I have had the honor to baptize hundreds of people over these
past 17 years, and I would encourage anyone who has committed their heart
and life to Jesus Christ by faith to have this special experience. It is
one you will cherish the rest of the days of your life.

I love you and care about you so much. I know many parents are confused
about whether to have their babies baptized and I pray this word today will
help you understand that it makes no sense to baptize your baby, but is
God's desire for you to dedicate your child to the Lord. I also want to
encourage anyone who has accepted the Lord into your heart and life by faith
and has never been baptized to do so. Not so that you are saved, you are
already saved. But to enjoy that wonderful experience of identifying your
life with the life of Jesus. It is a special experience in the life of
every Believer.

I will be praying for you today. Praying that as you go through your
day-to-day life you will never forget that you are a child of God, a
blood-bought son or daughter of the Lord Jesus Christ. A wonderful way to
never forget that great truth is by being baptized. Every time you remember
that special moment when you went under the water and came up, you will be
reminded that your sins have been forgiven, that once you were lost and now
you are found, that because of your faith in Jesus Christ you have the
assurance of everlasting life as well as the peace, joy, and abundance of
this life. Baptism is a great reminder of your faith!

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Re: Daily Devotional From Bill Keller

I have a very simple, but special message for you today from the 30th Psalm:
"I will exalt you, O LORD, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not
let my enemies gloat over me. O LORD my God, I called to you for help and
you healed me. O LORD, you brought me up from the grave; you spared me from
going down into the pit."

Sing to the LORD, you saints of his; praise his holy name. For his anger
lasts only a moment but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a
night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.

When I felt secure, I said, "I will never be shaken." O LORD, when you
favored me, you made my mountain stand firm; but when you hid your face, I
was dismayed.

To you, O LORD, I called; to the Lord I cried for mercy: "What gain is there
in my destruction, in my going down into the pit? Will the dust praise you?
Will it proclaim your faithfulness? Hear, O LORD, and be merciful to me; O
LORD, be my help."

"You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me
with joy, that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I
will give you thanks forever."

I realize today that as you read these words of comfort and hope, you are
facing some of the trials that we all face along our journey during this
life. No matter what those trials may be, you have the promise from God
Himself that He will see you through. He is not going to let you down. You
need to understand that God loves you more than you could ever begin to
comprehend. You are important to Him. You are special to God. That is why no
matter what you are going through, He will never leave you nor forsake you.

For those of you dealing with health issues, weeping may remain for a night
but rejoicing comes in the morning! For those of you dealing with financial
problems, weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the
morning! For those of you dealing with problems in your marriage, weeping
may remain for a night but rejoicing comes in the morning! For those of you
dealing with problems at school or work, weeping may remain for a night but
rejoicing comes in the morning!

For those of you dealing with the death of a loved one, weeping may remain
for a night but rejoicing comes in the morning! For those of you dealing
with problems with your children, weeping may remain for a night, but
rejoicing comes in the morning! For those of you battling with some sort of
addiction, weeping may remain for a night but rejoicing comes in the

I love you and care about you so much. I know the pain and heartache many of
you are dealing with in your life today. I wish I could snap my fingers and
make it all go away. I can't, but I know the ONE who can! God is not going
to abandon you in your hour of need. He will be there with you every step of
the way. Call out His name, He will answer you. I pray today that you will
know His peace in the midst of the trials you may be facing. Praise Him even
in the midst of those trials since you already have His promise that weeping
may remain for a night but rejoicing comes in the morning!!!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

Re: Daily Devotional From Bill Keller

It often seems that alot of suffering has at its genesis a separation from some simple form of Truth. I notice the many of my bretheren will invoke the phrase; "the truth will set you free". Does not scripture tell us that 'knowing the truth will set you free"? It is in the knowing or more accurately the incorporation of the truth that will set us free. The former is like having the truth out there in the ether somewhere separate from my heart and soul. My mentor used to say that "understanding is the booby prize". Because you can say that you understand the truth and incorporate nothing. Ergo; an underlying state of suffering. What do you think? Mic

For what ever in the world it is worth, I feel obliged to let by brothers and sisters at PMIM chat, know that 'sunshinesuperman67' and "chapmic" and "chapmick", are the same person. I had difficulty getting on this website after upgrading our ISP. So I had to start over again to get access. Been a member since 2004 and quite happy with the work of Dana and his brother. Has anyone else had sign in problems? Mike Brewer/Tucson

Re: Daily Devotional From Bill Keller

***A SAD DAY IN OUR NATION! Thursday was a dark day spiritually for our
nation. For the first time since the Senate was formed in 1789, the opening
prayer was delivered by a Hindu Chaplain. This nation which was founded on
"one nation UNDER GOD," prayed to the numerous false and non-existent gods
of the Hindu religion. Let me share with you a warning from God's Word.
This comes from the Book of Deuteronomy, Chapter 8, Verse 19. The Bible
says, "If you ever forget the LORD your God and follow other gods and
worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will
surely be destroyed." How can we expect God's protection and blessings when
we have forsaken Him and are now worshipping the false gods of the world?
When the next terrorist attack on our soil takes place, remember this day!

Saying "I am wrong." Major corporations and businesses pay tens of
thousands of dollars each year to men and women to come in and "motivate"
their employees. "Life coaches" are paid 5-figure fees by company CEOs and
top executives to help them through the day to day grind of managing their
professional and private lives. The fact is, if these corporations and key
executives simply got the FREE Daily Devotional from Liveprayer each day,
they would not only save a huge amount of money, but the employees and top
executives would get the best motivation and coaching possible right from
God's Word!

Today, I am going to "coach" you in what many may see as a simple issue
everyone deals with in life. However, for those who are successful and
prosperous it is a HUGE hurdle that most who have "made it" by the world's
standards fail to clear. That is being able to say "I am wrong" when you
make a mistake. It is the ability to admit your mistakes, humble yourself,
and take responsibility for your choices and actions. This is a critical
issue everyone has to deal with every day.

You see my friend, the Bible clearly tells us that we have all sinned and
come short of God's glory. In the book of 1 John, the Word actually says
that we all sin, and if we say we don't we are liars! During the course of
each day, we sin, we make mistakes, we exercise poor judgment, we make
horrible choices. Nobody, NOBODY is immune from this. The key is how do we
handle the mistakes we make during the course of a day?

There was no better example of how NOT to handle your mistakes than Martha
Stewart. If you listened to her statement on the courthouse steps after
being sentenced several years ago, if you saw her interviews with Barbara
Walters and Larry King, you saw a woman who was defiant, unrepentant,
showed no remorse, no contrition, and instead of accepting responsibility
for her actions, was still blaming everyone else but herself.

If you never pay attention to anything I say to you, please pay attention to
this. When you make a mistake, say you are sorry, accept responsibility for
your actions, make whatever amends you need to, and move on! When you
refuse to acknowledge your mistakes, when you blame others for what you did,
when you become defiant and unrepentant, a single mistake in the course of a
given day can end up destroying your very life!!!

You see, satan wants to hold your mistakes over your head. When you refuse
to acknowledge what you did was wrong, when you allow satan to help you find
excuses for your mistakes you have played right into his hands. Instead of
getting beyond your mistakes, your mistakes take on a life of their own and
literally becomes an anchor around your neck. Rather than putting your
mistakes behind you, your mistakes become part of your daily life.

I love you and care about you so much. As basic as this word is, it is an
issue EVERYONE deals with because we all make mistakes in life every day.
The more successful you are by the world's standards, the more difficult
saying "I was wrong" becomes. As people fall into the traps of pride and
ego, the great justifier satan will always help you find an excuse for YOUR
mistakes so that you can say you were right. My friend, that is a lie from
the pits of hell itself. We all sin, we all make mistakes, and nobody is
right all the time.....except Jesus!

I will be praying for you today. Praying that these words will find fertile
resting place in your heart. Listen, it should be the goal of every
follower of Jesus Christ to not sin, to live life perfectly. That MUST be
our goal and why our daily time with the Lord in prayer and the Word is so
critical. It helps us to stay connected to Christ and make Christ-like
decisions during the course of the day.

But the reality is, only Jesus went through this journey without sin. As
hard as we try, we will sin, we will make mistakes along the way. God knows
this and gave us that great promise in 1 John 1:9 that tells us, "If we
confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and
purify us from all unrighteousness."

My word for you today is simply this. When you sin, when you make a mistake
during the course of your day, don't start trying to figure out an excuse
for what you did, don't try to cover it up. Instead, go to God and ask His
forgiveness, admit your mistake to those you need to, make whatever amends
might be necessary, and move on. We all sin, we all make mistakes, that is
a fact. How we respond to our sins and mistakes is critical. There is only
one correct response, "I was wrong!"

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

Re: Daily Devotional From Bill Keller

The rise in children who are being sexually abused. The nation
cheered this past January when 13-year-old William Ben Ownby
who lives in Franklin County, near St. Louis, and had been
missing for 5 days was found alive in a Kirkwood, Missouri
apartment. Also, to everyone's amazement, in that same
apartment was another boy, 15-year-old Shawn Hornbeck who had
been missing since October 2002! Michael Devlin, 41, was
arrested and is facing numerous charges as the investigation
into his activities with these young boys and possibly others

We rejoice with these two families who have been reunited with
their children and pray for them as God brings healing and
restoration to these homes. We, of course, pray for Ben and
Shawn and the Lord's healing in their young lives after such
an ordeal. We also pray for Devlin to seek the Lord's
forgiveness for his crimes and that the justice system will
insure he can't harm any more children ever again.

This recent tragedy in Missouri serves as the backdrop today
for the larger issue I want to deal with, and that is the
rise in the number of children who are being sexually abused.
People wonder if there really is an increase in the number of
children who are being sexually abused, or if it just seems
like there is due to the fact it is more openly discussed
today than in years past. You also never had the incredible
number of news outlets we have today, including the 24-hour
cable news networks.

Statistics do clearly show that the number of children who
are being sexually abused is indeed on the rise. Because of
the anonymity of the Internet and email, people come to us
every day with issues in their lives that they have never
told another living person about. The biggest one is people
who were abused as children, in addition to many children
and young adults we hear from who are currently living in
a home where they were being sexually abused. I can tell
you that over these nearly 8 years, the number of people
we deal with who were and are being sexually abused has
greatly increased each year.

In dealing with this incredibly sensitive and difficult
issue today, I want to share with you WHY we are seeing this
increase in children who are being sexually abused by men
and women. The flurry of recent stories of female teachers
having sex with their young male students has showed us that
children are being sexually molested by men and women! There
are two major contributing factors to this rise in the
number of children who are being sexually abused. One is the
widespread proliferation of pornography and the other is the
breakdown of the family.

Porn used to be predominantly a male problem, and many people
still view it as such. However, with the advent of the Internet,
we deal every day with as many woman as men addicted to
pornography. Porn has gained such widespread acceptance in our
culture, that many view it as "harmless." That is a lie from
hell! Pornography destroys lives, destroys marriages, destroys
families, destroys the ability of a person to have a normal
and healthy sex life with their spouse, destroys careers, and
leads people into other bondages like drugs and alcohol.

Here is where the widespread acceptance of pornography in our
culture today factors into the rise in children being sexually
abused. Like all addictions, those in bondage to porn need more
stimulus as time goes on to get that rush or high. What starts
out as simply looking at a few naked pictures on the Internet,
turns into more hardcore porn, then turns into cyber and phone
sex, than ultimately turns into visits to massage parlors,
escorts, street prostitutes, swingers and BDSM clubs, as well
as anonymous real-time meetings just for sex.

After a while just looking isn't enough. After a while, scenes
of normal sex become boring and people turn to more perverted
forms of sex. The powder keg of a person in bondage to porn,
needing more perverted forms of sex, needing to actually act
out their fantasies, often leads them to the most accessible
and vulnerable person they can control for their perverse
pleasure.... a child!

The other major contributing factor to the rise in children
being sexually abused is the breakdown of the family. For
nearly 8 years now I have been preaching about how the moral
deterioration of our society is directly linked to the
breakdown of God's plan for the family. The sexual abuse of
children is simply a byproduct of that breakdown. The ideal
situation is for a child to have a mother and father and
live in a Godly, loving, nurturing home. That is God's plan.
With divorce rampant, with so many having sex outside of
marriage and having children without a spouse, you now have
well over 50% of children being raised by a single parent
or by adults who are not their birth mother or father.

Today, a single mom or dad over the years their child is
growing up might have 2, 3, 5, 10, or even more love
interests who live there, stay the night, or just come
over occasionally. Children are growing up today with a
dad who has dozens of women in and out of his life, and
subsequently his child's life. Children are growing up
today with a mom who has dozens of men in and our of her
life, and subsequently in her child's life. The fact is,
these moms and dads are exposing their children to people
they don't even really know! They have NO CLUE who this
person they are "seeing" really is, yet they expose their
child to that person!

Case in point from a recent national story is Scott Peterson
and Amber Frey. Frey, who had only had one overnight date
with Peterson, that was it, allowed him to go pick up her
daughter the next day at her day care. Of course Peterson
is now on California's death row for the murder of his wife
and BABY!

The other recipe for abuse lies in blended families. You
have homes where the mom has 1, 2, even 3 sets of children
all with different fathers. Couple that with her husband who
might have 1, 2, even 3 sets of children all from different
ROOF! There is normally big age discrepancies and quite often
you see sexual abuse occur when an older partial siblings
abuses a younger partial sibling.

I love you and care about you so much. Having to deal with
this issue every day for years, I know the incredible pain
and damage sexual abuse does to a person's life. I counsel
people daily that they need to seek out qualified,
professional Christian counseling. I can pray for them,
encourage them, help them, and guide them spiritually, but
there is very real psychological damage done when a child
is sexually abused and they need to take advantage of those
professionals God has gifted to help them work through all
of the many complicated issues that are a result of sexual
abuse. This is not something you can simply rub some dirt
on and make it better. Anyone who has been sexually abused
needs professional Christian counseling to help them heal
and move forward in their life.

I will be praying for anyone today who has had to endure
the horror of being sexually abused as a child. It is NOT
your fault. You did NOTHING WRONG! Sadly, there is much evil
in this world, and even children are not immune from that
evil. I will pray for you today to seek out professional
Christian counseling to help you heal from the abuse you
suffered. I will pray for you to know that God loves you
and that He has a plan and purpose for your life. YOU MATTER
and have great worth! God wants to help you heal and help
you move forward to live a victorious life in Christ. It is
no accident or coincidence you are reading these words today.
God is speaking to you and letting you know that HE LOVES YOU

I can only state again as I do so often how destructive
pornography is, how critical who you marry is, and how vital
it is to follow God's plan for sex. Sex was created for a man
and women in MARRIAGE. PERIOD! Ultimately, it is the children
who suffer when there is a divorce. It is the children who
suffer when a child is conceived out of wedlock. It is the
child who suffers when they are raised in these complicated,
blended families. Can God help a single mom and dad overcome
their sin? YES! Can God bless a blended home? YES! The key is
the mother, the father, have to humble themselves before the
Lord and seek His strength, wisdom, and counsel each day as
they love, protect, and nurture their child, raising that
child in accordance with God's Word.

I will be praying for you parents today. As I tell you so
many times, being a mom and dad is the greatest ministry you
will ever have. EVER! God gave you the gift of your child,
and it is your responsibility to love, nurture, protect, and
raise that child in the admonition of the Lord and to know
Jesus as their Savior. It is the most difficult, but
rewarding job you will ever have in this lifetime. I pray
that God will give you His wisdom and counsel, strength and
guidance, as you raise that child or children He has blessed
you with!

There is a rise in the number of children being sexually
abused, however, as there is also a rise in the number of
men and women who come to know Jesus as their Savior, turn
from the allure of pornography, follow God's plan for
marriage and the family, we can see that rise stopped!!!

In His love and service, Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

Re: Daily Devotional From Bill Keller

Why are the people who are protesting the war in Iraq, upset over those who
are being killed, the same people who fight so we can keep slaughtering over
4,000 innocent babies in this nation EVERY DAY??? I find it ironic those
who wax eloquently on the horrors of those who have been killed in the war
we are waging against those who want to see us wiped off the face of the
planet, are the very same people who actively protest and fight to keep the
practice of infanticide legal in this nation. Where is their outrage over
the fact that every 24 hours, another 4,000 innocent babies are slaughtered
in this nation??

What can I do? In dealing with the abortion issue often, helping you to
understand the reality of this blight on our nation both politically and
spiritually, many people who email me ask, "What can I do?" Over 150 years
ago our nation legally practiced another abomination to God, slavery. It
was the people of God, those who knew Christ as their Savior who ultimately
forced the abolition of this gross wickedness of one man to another. It was
men and women of God who refused to sit back and watch unbridled sin exist
despite the fact that it was "legal." So it will be with abortion as men
and women of faith properly ask the question, "What can I do?"

In the Book of James, God tells us that "faith without works is dead." Since
this was written to the church, people who were already saved, it in NO WAY
implies that works will save you. Ephesians 2:8,9 and many other passages
clearly refute that notion. What that passage is saying however, is that
once you are saved your faith requires action. If you are truly saved, you
understand that you have a God-given plan and purpose for your life that
must be fulfilled. You understand that your life is no longer your own,
that it belongs to Christ. Your life literally becomes an instrument in the
hands of God to fulfill His Divine plan and purpose. To be used by God our
Creator is the greatest use of our days on this earth there can be.

While we all have been called to serve God in different ways, we are all
part of the same Body. We may have different jobs to perform but we are all
on the same team. Being part of the Body of Christ also carries some shared
responsibilities. We are all ambassadors of Christ and His representatives
at all times. We all are called to share our faith with the hurting and
lost, to give people a "reason for the hope we have." We all accept the
Absolute Truth and authority of God's Word. Subsequently, we can't simply
sit back and see sin abound and do nothing. The existence of sin requires
and DEMANDS action on the part of the child of God.

So when confronted with the sin of abortion, what should that action be?
First, prayer. PRAYER CHANGES THINGS! I can only imagine the number of
prayers that went up every day during the time slavery was legal in this
nation, that this inhumane practice would end. Don't ever underestimate the
power of prayer and EVERY child of God must pray daily for this nation to
get out of the business of killing babies.

Second, communicate to others the Truth of God's Word. It is God Himself
who calls abortion murder. Those who know Christ cannot sit back and be
silent while people support this sin. Wherever the discussion of abortion
exists, be it in your home with family members, at work or school, out with
friends, or in the public square, a child of God MUST speak out for
righteousness and call this sin what it is...MURDER!

Third, evangelism. Some of you may be confused how evangelism has anything
to do with the abortion issue, but it is THE answer to this and every other
issue. You see, when a person is saved, the Bible says they become a "new
creature in Christ." They literally are a new creation and the "old things
pass away." When a person is saved they get a new heart, they get new
desires, they start to live their life in obedience to God instead of in
rebellion to Him. The ultimate answer to the abortion issue is to get
people saved since they would no longer make the choice to kill their baby
and the abortion mills would close down due to a lack of business.

I love you and care about you so much. I know from the outpouring of emails
I receive on this issue, many people are frustrated and feel helpless. Let
me remind you, as a child of God we have the greatest power there is, the
power of the Holy Sprit indwelling within us. The Bible proclaims that
NOTHING is impossible with God. That includes seeing the sin of abortion
being performed daily with the full blessings and protection of our Federal
Government being wiped out!

Do you realize that less than 4,000 people were killed on 9/11. The United
States properly responded, spending billions to defeat those who would seek
to destroy our nation and kill each one of us if they were given the
opportunity. However, more than that number of innocent babies are
slaughtered DAILY! It is clear that the politicians have no guts to stop
this practice of legalized infanticide, just like they had no guts to stop
the evils of slavery. It was the people of God who brought slavery to an
end and it will have to be the people of God to bring abortion to an end!

Every man, woman, and child that knows Christ as their Savior can pray, can
communicate the Truth of God's Word that abortion is murder, and can help
bring the lost to faith in Christ. Remember, nothing you do for the Lord is
in vain. If just these things were being done by those who have a personal
relationship with Jesus, you would see a major shift on this issue over
night. In addition, God will raise up key men and women to take a
leadership position in carrying out whatever His ultimate plan is to see
victory over the sin of abortion.

I will be praying for you today. Praying that you will realize you DO make
a difference. Just like no one person got this nation to abolish the sin of
slavery, it will not be one person to get this nation to abolish the sin of
abortion. It is going to take all of those who know the Lord to make this
happen. May we rise up in the power of Almighty God and take a stand for
righteousness as we say to this lost world, no more killing babies. We
either take action against this sin or we are no better than those who
support it. You ask the question, "What can I do?" Now I ask you the
question, " What WILL you do?"

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

Re: Daily Devotional From Bill Keller

HAVE YOU MADE THE DECISION TO ACCEPT JESUS? You will make many big decisions
throughout your life. Where you will go to college, what career you will
have, who you will marry, having children, are just a few. However, there is
no decision that you will make during your life greater than where you will
spend eternity when this brief life is over.

The Bible teaches us that tomorrow is promised to none of us and that each
day is a gift from God. When you die, your body will go back to the dust of
the earth as God mandated, but your soul, the part of man made in God's
image is eternal. Where your soul spends eternity is a choice each
individual who lives will make during their life. It is God's desire that
ALL come to repentance and none be lost. He sent His Son Jesus to die for
the sins of all mankind so that thru faith in Jesus man could be reconciled
back to God and have the assurance of everlasting life with his Creator.

My friend, nobody who is honest will dispute that they will die one day, and
nobody who is honest will dispute they commit sin. We ALL sin and fall short
of God's glory and it is our sin that separates us from a holy God. GOD
LOVES YOU! He is willing to forgive you of your sins if you will simply ask
Him. There is nothing you have done in your life that God won't forgive you
for if you ask Him. He does not want to see your soul perish for eternity,
but wants you to spend your eternity with Him.

Please, take a few moments, the most important few moments you will ever
spend and read the following few paragraphs. These words can literally
change you for all eternity. I am praying for you!

For God so loved the world, HE GAVE. Good Friday is the day that we
celebrate one of the greatest events in human history. We celebrate that day
the death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, God's gift to the world. It
is truly a day of rejoicing. Because of this gift from God, we can be
forgiven of our sins and reunited with our Creator for eternity. So much of
what I deal with each day in this Devotional is to help you walk through
this short journey here on earth victoriously and productively. But we must
never forget that our time here is very short, and there is an eternity
waiting for us when this journey is completed.

I want to focus for just a minute on that most special day, to that split
second when our life on this earth is finished and we are launched into
eternity. Do you have the assurance this very moment that when your life is
complete, your eternity is going to be spent in Heaven with God your

If the answer to that question is anything but a resounding YES, then let me
just share this simple truth with you. You see, our God, our Creator so
loved this world, so loved His creation, that He sent His Son, His only Son
to be part of this world. Jesus had one mission in this life. It wasn't to
be a great teacher, though He was a great teacher. It wasn't to be a great
prophet, though He was a great prophet. It wasn't to be a great miracle
worker, though He did work many great miracles. No my friend, Jesus came to
this world to perform only one job...to die.

You see, the reason it was vital for Jesus to be immaculately conceived by
the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin was so that He was not infested with
the same problem you and I are born into this life with, sin. Otherwise, the
best He could have done was to die for His own sins. Jesus lived on this
earth for some 33 years before it was time to complete His work. That work
was finished on a cross on the hill called Calvary where He hung, and then
died as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of this world. That is why,
whosoever believes in Jesus, shall not perish, but have everlasting life!

Believing in Jesus is the only way to be saved because it was Jesus who died
for our sins. There are no other ways to be saved, no other roads to God,
there are no other plans of salvation!!! This is God's one and only plan to
reconcile His fallen creation back to Himself. This is the only way that you
can escape eternity apart from the God who created you in His own image. It
is through His grace and by your faith in Jesus Christ!

There are many incredible mysteries in the Bible. There are many doctrinal
issues that will never be fully understood until we are in Heaven. But God
made the most important decision of this life very easy and simple to
understand. He gave every one the same opportunity to have their sins washed
away and be assured of an eternity in Heaven. That is why we celebrate Good
Friday. That is why we put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

The most important decision you will make in this life is not who you will
marry, or where you will live, or what kind of job you will have. The most
important decision you will make in this life is to accept Jesus Christ as
your personal Lord and Savior. If you have not done that yet, the Bible says
that TODAY is the day of salvation. I would invite you to go to,
http://www.liveprayer.com/bdy_salvatn.cfm. Pray to ask God to open your
heart, read the words, pray the prayer, and accept today God's gift to you,
the gift of everlasting life through His son Jesus.

I love you and care about you deeply. For those of you who already know
Christ as your Savior, I would encourage you to forward this email to
someone that you know who is lost and without hope today. What better
present to give someone than the opportunity to know Jesus as their Savior
and God's free gift of everlasting life. I pray that you will take time
today to focus on the gift that God has given to us in His Son Jesus. He
gave His very best gift to us, which is why I will continue to encourage you
each day to give your very best to Him.

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

Re: Daily Devotional From Bill Keller

Some of the great movies of all time would never even be made today! Easter
Sunday afternoon I was able to enjoy some down time watching the back nine
of the Masters. Congratulations to Zack Johnson for holding off Tiger Woods
and winning one of golf's most prestigious tournaments. Johnson took several
opportunities to let a worldwide TV audience know that his faith in Jesus
Christ sustained him in those final holes. After chatting with several good
friends who are on the PGA Tour, it turns out that Zack is not only a great
golfer, but a very committed Christian. How fitting his great victory came
on Easter Sunday!

After my wife and I ate some dinner, I sat down to catch up on some of the
day's news before going to bed. In scrolling thru the stations, I stopped on
AMC (American Movie Classics). Just starting was the 1937 classic movie
"Heidi" starring Shirley Temple. Instead of going to bed, I got my wife and
we watched this great movie classic together. Immediately following, we
watched another Temple classic "Little Miss Broadway." As I sat there and
enjoyed these two great movies, I couldn't help to think that if someone was
trying to make those exact movies today in the year 2007, they would be
laughed out of the offices of every major motion picture studio.

Let me tell you what are some of the hottest movies the major motion picture
studios are putting out today. The Hills Have Eyes 2, Grindhouse, 300, Dead
Silence, Hannibal Rising, and soon to be released, Hostel 2, and Saw 3. What
do these movies all have in common? They make the studios tons of cash and
they are some of the sickest, most disgusting movies ever created depicting
human torture, mutilation, and killing. I already know the standard answer
from those who support these types of movies is that it is not real, it is
just a movie, it is entertainment, and that nobody was really tortured and
killed. I counter that weak justification with the simple question, "What
possible good can a person gain by watching such a movie?"

The answer is simple, NOTHING! I would also add that anyone who is
"entertained" by watching a person being tortured, mutilated, and killed,
has some very serious psychological issues. It is simply not normal to find
anything entertaining in seeing a person being tortured, mutilated and
killed. This is partially a byproduct of the world we live in that places
little to no value on human life. We slaughter 4,000 innocent babies every
day in this nation. Children grow up playing video games where the goal is
to kill your opponent. The media is feeding young adults a steady diet of
death on TV, in the movies, on the Internet, and through music. It is no
wonder kids today grow up desensitized to death and place little value of
human life.

I think it is wonderful that the movie studios are producing more family
friendly movies. It is nice to have those options. While people of faith,
people who support more traditional family values will go to see those types
of movies, the very same studios also produce the sexual, violent,
mutilation films that glorify death because there is an insatiable demand
for those types of movies. The lost and hurting masses who choose to reject
Christ's love, live in rebellion to God and His Word, have so hardened their
hearts that they demand more blood, more gore, more sensational ways to view
death. Never forget, satan is about death and God is about life. Those who
follow satan embrace death and those who follow Jesus embrace life, even in
the movies they watch!

Long gone are the innocent days of Shirley Temple. In just one generation we
have gone from the wholesomeness of Temple to the utter depravity of movies
graphically depicting every kind of deviant sexual act and ways to kill
another human being. As I watched those two Shirley Temple movies that
Sunday, I smiled as little Shirley knelt by her bed and said her prayers, as
her grandfather read passages from the Bible, and the scenes of a church
service complete with a few minutes of sound preaching and the great old
hymns of the faith. The sad reality of the year 2007 is that you won't even
find that in most so-called churches today!!!

You don't have to have any history degrees to simply look at where this
nation was spiritually 70 years ago and where it is today. While things
weren't perfect, we still lived in a nation that honored God and revered His
Truth. Even though we had many different denominations, all Christian
churches still preached the Bible and called sinners to repent and turn
their hearts and lives to Jesus Christ by faith. Sin was not glorified and
accepted but condemned. Alcohol, drugs, gambling, pornography all existed,
but they were deemed as deviant behavior not socially acceptable. False
religions and cults were not given a place of prominence but kept

Marriage was without question one man and one woman for one lifetime, with
there being a huge stigma to divorce. Most children grew up in a home with a
mother and father, unlike most children today who grow up in broken and
blended homes. TV, radio, and the movies produced wholesome family
entertainment with strict standards of decency. Many say we have progressed
over the past 70 years. I agree that we have progressed in every way but the
most critical, SPIRITUALLY! You don't have to be saved, read the Bible, or
even believe in God to know that as a nation, as a people, we are in
spiritual free fall!

I love you and care about you so much. As I layed in bed Sunday night, I
couldn't go to sleep right away. I wanted to cry but couldn't. We have
become a wicked people. Millions of people are spending eternity in hell
because we have allowed our society to lose sight of God, forget the Truth
of His Word, and reject the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. As someone
who has committed my life to serving the Lord I weep daily for this nation
and the lost masses who will perish and spend eternity in hell. I am
resigned to the fact that this nation is so lost, its heart so hardened,
that it will never turn back to God. But that only motivates me to do more
each day to reach those who are hurting, are searching for answers, and do
want to find true hope that only exists in a personal relationship with
Jesus Christ..

You see, it is still about souls my friend. One at a time. Yes it would be
wonderful to see this nation fall on its knees and repent and turn back to
God. If that happens praise God. However, those who know the Lord can still
make a huge impact on millions of lives who without Jesus will spend
eternity in hell. We have great hurdles to overcome, great obstacles to
clear, but with God's strength we can overcome those hurdles and obstacles
and be victorious in bringing in that last great harvest of souls before our
Lord returns.

The contrast between the Shirley Temple movies of a generation gone by and
the graphic mutilation and death movies of today demonstrate how far we have
fallen as a people. But it is still about each individual soul, and knowing
how many souls will be lost forever should be all the motivation the child
of God needs to give all they have to reach as many as they can with the
Truth of God's Word and the hope and love of Jesus Christ. The time is
short, Jesus is coming, and the lost masses are out there waiting for
someone to reach them. It is time to get serious and busy about bringing
these lost souls the hope they yearn for and helping them find the peace,
joy, and everlasting life that only comes from knowing Jesus!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

Re: Daily Devotional From Bill Keller

Today and tomorrow I will be dealing with the TV and movie industries which
have a huge influence over tens of millions of people's lives, including
many Christians. The Bible talks about the "renewing of our mind," something
we all need to do on a daily basis through His Word. What we watch and hear,
DOES make a difference in how we think and act. What you allow yourself to
watch and listen to IS a big deal. As you read the Daily Devotional today
and tomorrow, be in prayer about what YOU watch and listen to on a daily
basis. For many of you, God is speaking to your heart about this issue.

People love the HBO series the "Sopranos" for the same reason they love "The
Godfather" trilogy. Even 34 years after it was released, "The Godfather"
starring Marlon Brando is one of the most popular movies ever made. So what
makes "The Godfather" movies, other organized crime movies like
"Goodfellas," "Donnie Brasco," "Carlito's Way," and "Scarface" such a hit
with people? After all, these are movies where the lead characters are part
of organized crime, men who spend their life killing, stealing, cheating,
and destroying other people's lives. They are involved in illegal businesses
such as bookmaking, prostitution, extortion, selling drugs, and any other
illegal activity you can name.

The popularity of these fictional crime bosses like Tony Soprano can be
directly linked to the popularity of the real-life crime bosses like Charles
"Lucky" Luciano, Myer Lansky, and Bugsy Siegel who ran New York in the '30s,
to Al Capone who ran Chicago in the '30s, to all the men who ran the various
families across the nation throughout the decades. Men like Giancana,
Marcello, Trafficante, Genovese, Gambino, Bonanno, Lucchese, Colombo,
Accardo, and Gotti to name just a few. People have always had a fascination
with these men who loved to portray themselves as "businessmen" and "family
men," yet in reality lived brutal and evil lives.

Hollywood and television are largely responsible for how we look at these
criminals. They have glorified and glamorized the lives of these men, often
turning them into sympathetic figures. The movies and television have showed
the human side of these men while almost justifying and excusing what their
life is really about. Make no mistake my friend, these are cold,
calculating, evil, and brutal men who without conscience or mercy spend
their lives killing and destroying others. There is absolutely nothing
glamorous or redeeming about how they live. There is nothing special about
them. They are simply men who have chosen to live a life of crime and live
in violation of society's laws as well as God's!

I am going to share some things from my personal life that I have never
shared publicly in all of these years. After the initial success of my
marketing business in 1979, I moved to Chicago in 1980 and that become the
headquarters of my fast growing network of companies throughout the nation
and Canada. A close business associate had introduced me to a law firm in
Chicago that I would use to help me set up my various companies over the
years. The lawyer I met with was a man named Jack Cerone, Jr. who actually
specialized in labor law, so he referred me one of his partners, Joe
DiNatale, to handle my legal needs. Little did I know that Jack Cerone's
father was the infamous John "Jackie the Lackey" Cerone, who was actually
the Don of the Chicago outfit (what the Mafia is called in Chicago).

In 1985, my attorney Joe DiNatale would represent Jackie Cerone, Sr. when he
and several other leading mobsters would go on trial in Kansas City for
skimming millions out of Las Vegas casinos. Jackie Cerone, Sr. was convicted
in that trial and would spend the rest of his life in a Federal Prison. I
was very close to DiNatale in the '80s, and often when we were alone at
dinner he would share some of the stories of what really went on in the
world of organized crime. He often referred to it as "unorganized crime,"
and in reality it was nothing at all like the world portrayed in the movies
or on television.

These were mostly uneducated street criminals who killed, stole, and cheated
people as their life's work. Those who rose to positions of power usually
did so by attrition, since in the world they lived in you either ended up in
prison or dead. Those who were able to escape those two fates the longest
become the "boss." Over the years organized crime diversified from their
traditional illegal businesses into legitimate businesses that would become
fronts for many of their criminal activities.

However, in the '80s new laws that turned what used to be 2-3 year prison
sentences into 20-30 year sentences, encouraged people inside organized
crime who once would "honor the code" and do their time, to now cooperated
and testify against those they worked for. Also, the new technology that
made wiretaps and tracking people possible, gave the Federal Government
tools to gather information they never could in the past. Today, the Mafia
as we know it still exists and always will to some extent, but doesn't have
anywhere near the influence it used to and thankfully never will again.

When I was indicted in December of 1989 for insider trading, I was denied
bond for fear I would leave the country and was held at the Metropolitan
Correctional Center in downtown Chicago to await trial sometime in late
1990. I was at the MCC from the first week in January in 1990 until October
of 1990. It was there on August 20, 1990 that I rededicated my life to the
Lord and finally gave God the one and only thing He had ever wanted from me,
and that was my life completely and unconditionally surrendered to Him. My
friend, today that is the only thing God wants from you, your life,
completely and unconditionally surrendered to Him.

God began to work in my life. Within a week of rededicating my life to the
Lord, my attorney was able to work out a plea agreement with the government
that called for me to plead guilty and spend the next 22 months at a minimum
security Federal Prison in Pensacola, Florida. If you have never heard my
testimony, you can go to the links below and read all about it. It is a
story I have told to millions worldwide over the years as a tribute to God's
grace and mercy in my life, giving Him all glory and honor for what He has
done for me. Let me encourage you today that what God has done for me, He
will do for you!!! http://www.weeklyplanet.com/2003-12-04/cover.html

While I was being housed at the MCC in downtown Chicago, in February of
1990, the Federal government indicted Ernest Rocco Infelise, who at the time
was the head of the Chicago Outfit, and several of his top lieutenants,
including reputed mob hit man Harry Aleman. They were obviously denied bond
and also housed at the MCC awaiting their trial, and were assigned to live
on the same floor I was on. I spent the next 8 months living with these
guys. There are no secrets in a prison environment, and they found out that
Joe DiNatale was my attorney, so I was one of the few people on the floor
they interacted with. Many nights we would be in the dining area, and they
would talk about their lives and experiences. They would never get specific,
but it was enough to know that these were men who lived lives of crime from
their youth and really only knew and understood that world.

Obviously, I was fortunate enough to never make the choices to become
involved in that type of life or be part of the world of organized crime.
However, I have had enough contact with those who were in that world to know
there is nothing glamorous about it. It is a very dark, cold, evil world
that operates in complete and total rebellion to God. No matter how much
Hollywood cleans it up, no matter how appealing they make it appear, it is
nothing but a world of destruction. Those who choose to be part of that
world have their lives destroyed. Those who get caught up in their world
have their lives destroyed. At the end of the day, NOBODY WINS BUT SATAN!

I love you and care about you so much. This message today is really a
warning to you. A warning to keep your guard up at all times and not allow
Hollywood and the television industry to cause you to fall into the trap of
glorifying evil no matter how attractive they make it appear. The media
already does a masterful job at glamorizing sin. Sexual sins of every kind
are promoted as fun and exciting with no consequences. Drinking and drug use
are also glorified by the media. So it is no surprise that the media will
try to sanitize sins like murder, robbing, and whatever kind of evil one man
can perpetrate on another you can think of.

I will be praying for you today to take a stand in your life from letting
the world lie to you and lead you into the trap of sitting back and giving
approval to evil by viewing it. Yes, I know the "Sopranos" is a fictional
story, but what they portray is the real life evil and horrors of those who
are part of the world of organized crime. No, you are not going to hell or a
horrible Christian if you watch the "Sopranos" and shows like it. However,
our goal as we mature in Christ is to be more like Him. The Bible talks
about the "renewing of our mind." A great computer term is "garbage in,
garbage out." Why would you want to pollute your mind with murder, adultery,
physical violence, and a myriad of other sinful activities?

The problem with a program like the "Sopranos," the problem with so much of
what is on television today and in the movies, is that they glorify and
glamorize sin. Can you tell me anything glamorous about the sins you have
committed in your life? Can you tell me how glamorous the consequences of
your sins are? That is the point my friend. Sin is NOT glamorous. It is
destructive! The consequences of our sins are very real and very painful.
Watching sin, even in a fictional format, is not something a follower of
Christ should be doing. Why do people love the "Sopranos?" Simple, they love
sin more than they love God!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

Re: Daily Devotional From Bill Keller

"Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which
you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many
witnesses." 1 Timothy 6:12

When is it time to fight? I don't know too many people who really enjoy a
fight. Fighting is something most children do as they grow up, mostly with
their siblings. I vividly remember growing up, the oldest of 3 boys,
constantly fighting with my little brothers. I started to play sports at 5,
and remember many fights with my friends I grew up with over a backyard game
of football that at the movement was more important than the Super Bowl.
Fortunately as I got older, I realized that fighting really doesn't solve
whatever the problem is, and in most cases only makes it worse. Sitting down
and working out whatever differences there were was a much better way to
handle problems. However, it takes 2 parties who are motivated to work
things out for problems to be resolved peacefully. Sadly, there are times in
life when that isn't possible and you are left with no other option but to

That of course begs the question, what is worth fighting for? Our life. Our
family. Our country. Our faith. Today, I want to hone in on fighting for our
faith. I often get much encouragement and inspiration from reading about
Paul's life. As you read thru the New Testament, especially the Book of
Acts, it is incredible how this man fought for the faith. I am challenged by
all Paul personally endured as he fought for the faith. He literally gave
his entire life from the moment he met Jesus on the Damascus Road until his
work was finished and he was executed for following Jesus Christ. Between
those two events, we see one of the greatest examples of fighting for our
faith there ever was or will be.

You see my friend, this world that lives in open rebellion to God, His
Truth, and Jesus Christ, does not want to be reminded of their sins nor told
that when they die they will spend eternity in hell for those sins. Man
began to rebel against God his Creator from the very beginning and nothing
has changed over these past 6,000 years of human history. The very existence
of the children of Israel, God's chosen people, was often in jeopardy by
those heathen people groups who lived in open rebellion to the one true God.
God sent Jesus as the Savior for mankind, yet he was not only rejected by
the world, but by His own people. For the past 2,000 years, the Christian
faith has been under attack by those who rejected Christ, from the Roman
emperors in the early days of the church to the governments of this world

I contend that one of the main reasons the Christian faith is so weak and
ineffective in our world today, especially in the United States, is that
people have never really learned how to fight for their faith. We were born
in a blessed and unique place and time of human history, a nation founded on
its belief in the God of the Bible, the Truth of His Word, and faith in
Jesus Christ. For the better part of the 230 years this nation has existed,
it was clearly a Christian nation. It really wasn't necessary to fight for
the faith as so many of our brothers and sisters around the world over these
past 2000 years have had to. However, over these past 40 years, we have
become like the children of Israel. We have turned from God to the false
gods and idols of the world. We have fallen into gross sin and debauchery.
We are now living in open rebellion to God, His Truth, and Jesus Christ.
While this has been happening before our very eyes, Christians who never had
to fight for their faith before have sat back and done virtually nothing.

Despite growing up in the church and making a commitment to Christ at age
12, I spent the decade of my 20s like Saul, persecuting God's church. I
wasn't involved in killing Christians or trying to destroy the church, but
in living my life for the temporal pleasures of the flesh and this world, in
rebellion to the Bible and Christ, I was doing my part to contribute to the
destruction of the faith. I thank God every day that 17 years ago this
August, I had my encounter with Jesus in the cell of a Federal Prison. It
was at that moment I dedicated the rest of my life to the Lord and began to
fight for the faith, a fight I will be engaged in until my work here is
finished and God calls me home.

I realized quickly that the real fight for our faith was taking place in the
marketplace. It was clear very quickly why the lost world we live in was
winning and we were losing, we had abandoned the marketplace many years ago
and retreated behind the four walls of the church to safety. We literally
left the marketplace to the scavengers of satan. We are responsible for
abortion on demand. We are responsible for the mainstream acceptance of
homosexuality and gross sexual perversion. We are responsible for the
decimation of God's Holy Institution of Marriage and the family. It is easy
for us to blame satan, but the reality is we abandoned the marketplace and
left it to satan to have his way.

Let me share with you something I have learned over these past 17 years of
fighting for the faith. If I wake up tomorrow and decide I am simply tired
of fighting, I've done my part for nearly 2 decades now let someone else do
it, the world will keep spinning. People will be born and people will die.
In the end, God's plan will unfold. This is about me being faithful to what
God has called me to do. You see, I have no other choice. I've given my life
to Him. God has raised me up in these last days to fight for the faith. When
I take my last breath it is not some man I will stand before, but God
Himself. He is the one who I will answer to and who will judge me. I will
keep fighting for the faith until my work here is over because I have
committed my life to serving the Lord.

What keeps me going is the changed lives I see each and every day. People
who come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. People who God touches in
a miraculous way. Every day I watch the hand of God working in people's
lives all over this world. I also never forget that God never gave up on me.
It would have been easy for Him to write me off and let me live a life of
rebellion, but He loved me enough to reach out to me and let me know He had
a better plan for my life. He has given me a peace and joy that words can't
describe, and despite the battles, the weariness, He has given me a life of
abundance I could have never imagine. Not the temporal abundance of this
world, but the true abundance of the eternal things of God. That is why I
get up each day, put on the armor, and fight for the faith!

I love you and care about you so much. Liveprayer is on the front lines
fighting for the souls of men literally 24/7. We have become a huge target
for satan over the years because there is nobody on the internet
communicating with the vast numbers of people we do around the world on a
daily basis. Also, because of the firm Biblical stand I take on the issues
of the day, we have made an incredible number of enemies who would love to
see Liveprayer wiped off the Internet. We have faced many challenges over
the years, but God has always seen us through and we will prevail!

I will be praying for you. I pray that as you have watched me take my stand
for our faith each and every day these past 8 years, to boldly and without
fear go into the marketplace and fight for the faith, it will inspire you as
well. Everyone who prays, everyone who sacrifices to give, is fighting for
the faith with me. That is why Liveprayer, with no money, has been around
over 8 years and has impacted tens of millions of lives around the world

Let me encourage you today to rise up and fight for the faith where you
live. There is a world around you that is lost, hurting, and souls dying
every day and going to hell. There is nothing more precious you will ever
fight for since Christ is the only hope for this world and each person. In
the end, when your life is over, God will honor you as you hear those words,
"Well done thou good and faithful servant!"

Thanksgiving 2007

"Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ
Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:18

On this day we celebrate as Thanksgiving, we have so much to be thankful
for. I want to point out an aspect of this great verse in Paul's letter to
the church at Thessalonica that is usually overlooked and almost never
preached on. While we are so thankful today for all of God's blessings, this
verse requires a great amount of maturity because it says give thanks in ALL
things. How quickly we run over those words without ever thinking about the
true meaning. In this society where we are so focused on winning, so focused
on the positive, so focused on things being in a state of perfection....God
tries His best to help us be realistic about this sinful world we live in.

Aside from our own sinfulness, we live in a world that is infested with sin
in every nook and cranny of our existence. Jesus, trying to prepare His
disciples for the reality of living in this world without Him, trying to
make them understand that despite the close intimate relationship they had,
told them that in this world they would have problems and things would not
always be perfect. This verse tell us that every day we should give thanks
in "all" things.

Spiritual maturity comes in when you understand that this verse is actually
telling you to give thanks not only for those things you look at as good,
but also the bad things that happen to you as well. That is hard for us to
understand why we should be thankful for those terrible things that happen
to us along life's journey, but we have no way of knowing the mind of God,
we have no way of understanding completely His plan or purpose, we just
can't comprehend all of the things God does in the situations we live
through. It is hard to imagine giving thanks for things like marriage
problems, divorce, the death of a loved one, financial difficulties, health
problems, strife with friends, problems in your local fellowship,
difficulties on the job, and any other bad things we experience in life.
Hard to imagine.

But when you realize that God is still on the throne, that He is still in
control, then you by faith, have to thank Him and trust Him even in those
bad situations. He is working on your behalf and will not let you down. As
painful as the experience must be, we have to thank Him because He is often
perfecting us for work in the future. We give thanks out of obedience, and
out of faith that God knows what He is doing in allowing those bad things we
live through in our life to occur. Remember a man named Job?

I realize that today would be a great day to just say some warm and fuzzy
things to make us feel good. It is a holiday, many are with family. The
Christmas season is upon us. We have so much to be thankful for. But the job
God gave me was not to give you something each day to just make you feel
good, but to challenge you to a closer daily walk and to help you grow
spiritually. Many problems that I see each day occur because people have
been given too much "feel good" talk, and not adequately prepared for the
reality of this life in relationship to their life in Christ. When the
storms come, they just aren't equipped to handle the onslaught.

The one thing that I will never do is hold back, compromise the Word of God,
or tell you something just to make you feel good. I will tell you the truth,
God's Truth right from the Bible, in an attempt to help you be prepared for
living a victorious and productive life for Christ. In these last days, He
needs bold, mature, fearless men and women to do the work necessary here on
earth. It is no accident that you are getting these Devotionals, and no
accident that you read them. God is speaking to you through these daily
writings to sharpen you, prepare you, encourage you to be all He has called
you to be.

I love you and care about you so much. I am so grateful for you. Your love
and prayers have been an inspiration to me personally and to our people here
at Liveprayer.com. We are pressing forward each day. Thank you again for
standing with me, for praying, for giving, for helping us add people to our
Daily Devotional list and letting others know about Liveprayer.com. My
thoughts and prayers are with you this day. I am truly thankful for you. For
those traveling, may His mercies be with you as you go to and from your
destinations. For those of you going through the fire today, remember...give
thanks in ALL things!!!

May you and your family enjoy a most blessed Thanksgiving!!!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller
