James A. Armenti Sr., 82, King of Prussia, PA


James A. Armenti Sr. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 26, 2013, at ManorCare Health Services in King of Prussia, PA. He was 82.

Mr. Armenti was a resident of King of Prussia, PA since 1966. He worked as a machinist for the former General Electric in King of Prussia, PA. James was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, PA, where he was an annual feast worker. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, was an avid Philadelphia Sports fan and enjoyed traveling throughout the United States with close family friends. Mr. Armenti was a US Marine Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving from 1952 to 1954, earning the rank of corporal.

Born in Bridgeport, PA on December 15, 1930, he was a son of the late Angelo A. and Adele (Tavani) Armenti. He was the devoted husband of the late Margaret C. (McManus) Armenti, who died in 2009. Surviving is his loving family including two sons, James A. Armenti, Jr. of Douglassville, PA and Daniel A. Armenti, Sr. and his wife, Dawn, of King of Prussia, PA; a daughter, Adele M. Armenti Dolph of Bridgeport, PA; proud grandfather of: Alan (Dawn), Angela (Brian), Emily, Daniel Jr. and Dalton; a brother, Angelo A. Armenti, Jr. and his wife, Barbara, of Chesterbrook, PA; three sisters: Christine Piazza and her husband, Joseph, of Plymouth Twp., PA, Pauline Romano of Plymouth Twp., PA and Frances Salamone and her husband, Joseph, of Bridgeport, PA; brother-in-law, Joseph McManus and his wife, Judy, of Newtown, PA; a sister-in-law, Ellen (McManus) VanFossen of Bridgeport, PA; and many nephews and nieces.

James' Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St. Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 10:00 am.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:50 am, at the church. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in James' memory to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 and/or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 225 City Line Avenue, Suite 104, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 philadelphia@jdrf.org.

Arrangements are by The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., Bridgeport, PA.
