Tim Beard, 61, Pocatello, ID

Tim Beard, 61, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at a local medical center, with loved ones at his side.

He was born June 24, 1962 in Driggs, Idaho to Merlon and Martha "Ann" Beard. He attended school and spent most of his childhood in Driggs. His hobbies have always included horses, hunting and camping. He married Jeanie Schofield in 1967 and they had a daughter, Cristi. They later divorced. In 1969, he joined the United States Marine Corps and during his service he proudly served one tour in Vietnam. He was released from active duty in 1972. This would become his legacy and something his family and friends will always be proud of. He then married Annie Gomez in 1973, and they had a son, Tim Jr. They later divorced. At this time he began his life-long career in truck driving, which he became very skilled at. He married Teresa White in 1979 and they had a daughter, Megan. They later divorced. He spent time in Idaho Falls, Idaho and Salt Lake City, Utah, where he was married and divorced once again.

He mostly drove truck until he returned to Pocatello, Idaho. Here he drove truck and worked security until he became ill and retired. He loved spending time in his retirement with his grandkids and loved the time he shared with his son-in-law, Treyl. This became his favorite time.

He is survived by; aunts and uncles; siblings, Steve Beard, Rigby, Mike (Rowena) Beard, Shelley, ID, Kathey (Speedy) Fontana, Pocatello, ID, David Holbrook, (Lonnie Simcoe), Scottsdale, AZ, Erik (Kelli) Holbrook, Abilene, TX, Jonnie Jo Rozales, Rock Springs, WY; his children, Cristi Beard, Renton, WA, Tim Jr., Charleston, SC, Megan (Treyl) Chlarson, Chubbuck, ID; 6 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews who will remember "Uncle Buddy."

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and aunts and uncles.

We would like to thank all friends and family and medical care givers who helped care for him, take him to doctor's appointments, etc, and who were just there for conversation as he fell ill. You all meant so much to him and for that, mean so much to us.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Wilks Funeral Home 211 W. Chubbuck Road. Military Rites will be provided by the Pocatello Veterans Honor Guard.

Family will greet friends at a viewing that will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Sunday.
