Cross Glow Sm Clr The Armor of God

Wake up, my fine Soldiers! (A line from the movie "Joan of Arc"... really enjoyed the leadership element in that flick....)

Ephesians 6:10-18
10"Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord
and in the power of His might.
11"Put on the whole armor of God, that you may
be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood,
but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers
of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of
wickedness in the heavenly places.
13"Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to
withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14"Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having
put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15"And having your feet shod with the preparation of
the Gospel of Peace;
16"Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will
be able to quench all of the fiery darts of the wicked one.
17"And take the helmet of salvation, and the Sword of the Spirit,
which is the Word of God;
18"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit,
being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication
for all the saints--"

Let's help each other out, boys... let's pray for one another... let's share our hearts with one another... let's celebrate what Jesus has done in our lives and in the lives of those we come in contact with. Let relish a good fight, knowing that the Author and Finisher of our Faith is the Commander-in-Chief. No one gets left behind, boys... we're brothers... we're bonded... we are the Body of Christ, hooah?

I'm going to pick a fight...! (William Wallace, Braveheart... another of my favorites....)

Shawn.

Dear Brother,s
We must remember the war we are in is not against flesh and blood or each other, But against the principality and powers of this dark world.EPH.6:12.
God has giving us the full armor to face the devil head on and our power comes from his word, We as warriors must stand firm and not give any ground too our enemy or just turn and run, Because there is no armor for our back side. Please remember if God is with us who can be against us Romans 8;31

Re: The Armor of God

The media would have this war on terror be a secular war. Since we have a brain, we know it is a spiritual war fought on a physical plane.

The CIC who may well be a egomaniac boy king declares we are not involved in a war on terror at all. Not to hard to teel where he stands in quite a few areas!

The CIC needs lots of prayer but the twig is bent and so the "weed" grows.

I am concerned the CIC is dead spiritually.

I still wish I were young once again and able to fight for this land again. Prayer is powerful though.

REALLY read Psalm 91.

Be encouraged Brother.

Hey bro Shawn
Did you know that John Stewart Mill also said:
"Not all conservatives are stupid people, but most stupid people are conservatives." Check out http://www.utm.edu/research/iep/m/milljs.htm#SH2h

I am sorry, but I haven't seen anywhere where it says that Mr. Mill (Mr expert on war) had been to a war.

Maybe as followers of Jesus we ought to stick with "Blessed are the peacemakers.....", and let the Prince of Peace heal us.

Re: The Armor of God

Sorry, the quote from the war expert Mr Stuart or Stewart is actually:
"Conservatives aren't necessarily stupid, but most stupid people are conservatives."
He said it, not me....
