Darrell Wade McCool, 57, of Waterbury, CT


Mr. Darrell Wade McCool, 57, of Waterbury, passed away Sunday, September 08, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.

Darrell was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 5, 1955, son of Hal Edgar and Maxine (Busby) McCool. He served honorably and proudly in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam. He settled in Waterbury to raise his family whom he enjoyed spending his time with. He also enjoyed cat-fishing and roadtrips. The last three years, Darrell fought his toughest battle against cancer which he faced courageously with his family always by his side and he will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Darrell leaves behind his loving mother, Maxine Speciale and her husband John of Troy, MO; his three sons, Aaron McCool of Waterbury, Joshua McCool of Waterbury, and Jared McCool of Trumbull; his fiancée Beverly O’Brien of Waterbury; two brothers Timothy McCool and his wife Peggy, Mike Crossno and his wife Barbie; four sisters, Debra Moeller and her husband Raymond, Kimberly Davis and her husband Chris, Diane Crossno, and Connie Womack and her husband Shannon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Hal Edgar McCool and his step-mother Trina Estrada.

Arrangements: Prayer Service will be held Tuesday, 4:45 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway. Full Military Honors will follow at the Funeral Home.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
