Banana My Dad

HE held me in his arms, to his heart so close
Kissed again and again, and tickled with his nose

He played with me for hours, taught me to talk
He held my tender fingers and taught me to walk

He taught me to love and to be always true
He taught me truth will always lead me through

He instructed with passion, when I was wrong
He taught me courage and to be always strong

Never should I lust for unjust wealth and fame
He taught me to call wrong always by its name

Though he could not read or write but he still
Sent me to the best school, with never ending thrill

He gave me the best, his means could ever give
For virtues and principles, his legacy will ever live

Firm, frank and forgiving, is his image for eternity
Him I will always admire, like him I wish to be
