American Soldiers Wives

As our flag flies free
and our Soldiers stand proud
we think of our husbands
as we sit in the crowd

It takes great strength and tenacity
to carry on with our lives
and that is what we have
we are the American Soldiers Wives

We will support our soldiers
100 percent, when they hit the sand
we will not relent

Please do not pity us
or think that we are weak
for being an American Soldiers Wife
is not for the meek

We are strong and tenacious
as we've mentioned before, think about it
we are sending our husbands to war

Life can get tough with our soldiers being gone
our children, friends, and family help us to carry on

We find peace in knowing that
wherever our soldiers may have to roam
they have God and their soldier buddies to
bring them back home

Stars and Stripes proudly wrapped around
our brave soldier heroes whom have fallen down

We shall honor our soldiers in life and in death
until we have taken our very last breath
we are the American Soldiers Wives
