Abraham Kahinuonalani "Abe" Kamakawiwoole, 76, of Honokaa, Hawaii, a public school teacher and Marine Corps veteran, died in North Hawaii Community Hospital. He was born in Waipunalei, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Mary E.N., son David, brother Reynolds Jr., sister Gwendolyn Yamamoto and two grandchildren. Celebration of life: noon Thursday at Kalemela Congregational Church. Call after 9 a.m. Burial to follow at Kalemela Congregational Church Cemetery, also known as Kamakawiwoole Church Cemetery, in Paahau Mauka, Honokaa. Aloha attire. Flowers and leis welcome.
