MOREHEAD CITY - Roy "Buddy" Clayton, 22, of Morehead City, died June 6, 2009, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2009, at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville with the Rev. Bill Cranes officiating. Burial will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with military honors.
He was born in Plymouth County, Mass., and graduated from White Oak High School. He joined the Marine Corps in 2005, was a corporal and was stationed at Cherry Point.
Survivors include wife, Christina Taylor Clayton of the home; parents, Andy and Kelly Collison of Jacksonville; brother, Anthony Collison of Jacksonville; sisters, Andrea and Emmi Collison both of Jacksonville.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the home of his parents, 302 Walnut Creek Dr., Jacksonville.
Contributions may be made to the Faith Church of the Nazarene, 1125 Piney Green Rd., Jacksonville, NC 28546.
