Yolanda C. Valdez June 27, 1960 - June 3, 2009 ----- SALEM - Yolanda went home to be with her Lord and Savior after a long fight with cancer, she is survived by her husband, Samuel Valdez; two sons, Anthony Valdez and Gabriel Valdez; her daughter, Samantha M. Valdez; and a step-son, Ezequiel Valdez. She was born in Rehoboth, New Mexico to her parents, Melvin T. Chavez, now deceased, and Mildred A. Chavez. She is survived by eight other siblings. Yolanda served in the Marine Corps and later worked for several professional jobs. She also went to Bible school at Victoria Faith and then ministered to many people. She will be missed greatly by her friends and family. Arrangements by City View Funeral Home.
