FRANCISCO SALAZAR JR., 83, of Houston, TX passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2009. He was born in Galveston, TX and is survived by wife Maria, sister Celia Rodriquez, brother Fernando Salazar, son Frank Salazar III and Lynn Stansell, son David Salazar and wife Cheryl and daughter Teresa Alleman. He is also survived by grandchildren Renee Dahlmeier and husband Chris, Brian Salazar and fianc?e Ashlie Molbeck, Stephanie Salazar, Briana Alleman, Rebecca Alleman, Jeremy Alleman, Benjamin Alleman and great grandson Carson Dahlmeier, as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives of the Salazar, Torres, Gonzalez and Villalpando families. Francisco is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister and wife of 49 years Vivian G. Salazar. He was a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving as a corpsman in various significant battles of WWII and Korean Conflict. Also, he was a member of St Leo the Great Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. The family will receive friends for visitation Monday, June 1, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, TX 77060. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church 2131 Lauder Road, Houston, TX 77039 followed by a rite of committal at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
