Richard U. Rodgers, Sr. (Dick), 73, of Halifax passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2009 after a brief illness. He is survived by his loving wife Joan (Cheverie) Rodgers, 4 children Judi Marden, Dianne Rodgers, Richard Rodgers, Jr. and David Rodgers. He is also survived by 1 granddaughter, 6 grandsons and 1 great grandson. A graduate of North Quincy High School, USMC, Retired. He was employed as a pipefitter at Bethlehem Steel and General Dynamics before establishing his own successful plumbing business in Braintree. He was an avid Red Sox fan who enjoyed traveling in his later years. He most enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 200 Union St., Rockland, MA.
