VERNON TUTER

Entered into rest Sunday, January 18, 2009. He leaves his wife of 61 years Venita, two son's, Mark and his wife Janice, and Matt; two grandchildren, Molly, Tim and his wife Allisa; a great-grandson, Talon; brother, Royce and his wife Bonnie and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded by sisters, Gladys Wilson and Evelyn Morrison and brothers, John, Jack and Kay.

Vern was born August 16, 1925 to John and Gladys Tuter in Mt. Shasta, Calif. They moved to Sacramento in his younger years and he has been a resident of Chico for the past 45 years. Vern served in the U.S. Navy attached to the Marine Corps from 1943 to 1946. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed his Arabian horses. Vern was an active member of Butte Bible Fellowship.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Butte Bible Fellowship.
