Russell J. Barber, 86, passed away at home on Sunday, January 11, 2009. Mr. Barber leaves his wife of 58 years, Varena Jo Barber; daughter, Joellyn Gatliff; sons, J. Russell Barber and John H. Barber; and two grandchildren. Mr. Barber was a graduate of Arkansas State University and retired from the United States Marine Corps after serving in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam as an aerial navigator. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, two sisters, and a brother. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel (901) 873-0123
