Richard Spangler Schall III, 87, of Jacksonville, died Dec. 19, 2008, at Onslow Memorial Hospital.
Graveside funeral services, with military honors, will be at 10 a.m. Jan. 20, 2009, at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
He retired as a lieutenant colonel from the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include daughter, Ann Schall of Jacksonville; and son, Robert Schall of Jacksonville.
